I don’t think it’s a refusal; he can’t play and or isnt instinctive to play it. If you are going to play as a “10” for a top club, you need those.

It's not that he refuses, he just can't. He can't sort his feet out and get his head up and make the pass quick enough. His body just doesn't move quick enough. He doesn't have the agility. We will never progress with Enzo in midfield in this league.

He isn’t a midfielder, but then you can’t play him as an overlapping fullback because he doesn’t have the legs.
