I think it might be worth setting a reminder for 11.45pm UK time. Belgium appear to have something planned.

Any rumours as to what that might include? Will be keen to watch later.

Again, this is a cluster and bad look. But when others go low, go high - at some point, Belgium should do their talking on the pitch and sent the strongest message with a win. I dread the fallout should Balogun score a winner.

FA considers Quansah red card appeal, Sky News understands

Could Donald Trump's intervention to lift a red card suspension actually help England?

Sky News understands the Football Association is considering appealing to FIFA to ask for Jarell Quansah's suspension to be lifted - just as Folarin Balogun's automatic ban for being sent off was dropped for the USA.

Quansah was given a red card during England's 3-2 victory over Mexico, and now stands to miss the quarter-final clash with Norway on Saturday.

But the FA is figuring out the prospect of seeking FIFA's approval to have the defender available.

Farce worthy of Feydeau.

One team in Tallinn?

I get the impression that Lamine Yamal is a good tier below some of the other stars of the game.

Been rushed back from injury. Nowhere near fit.

Was just having the same thoughts.

We’ve been blessed with CR7/Mr HGH for the best part of 2 decades playing at unparalleled levels.

Yamal, Mbappe, Dembele are all a good level or 3 below. It’s between Haaland or Olise for me as the worlds current best.

And George Russell?

No chance

The Trump Effect has already caused repercussions in the soccer ball world.

Reuters: Europe

It has been confirmed that Nicola Sturgeon, former First Minister of Scotland and leader of The Scottish National Party from 2014 to 2023 has twice telephoned Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, to request that England's third goal, scored by Sir Geoff Hurst in the 1966 World Cup final, be rescinded and the game declared null and void as VAR was not available to conclusively prove that the ball had crossed the line. A FIFA spokesman has said that the request has been forwarded to US President Donald Trump for a final decision. Ms Sturgeon said "I am confident that my good friend President Trump will look on this favourably, as we both use the same fake tan supplier and he fingered me when I was 12".

Portugal's depth is mental, it's a shame they insist on starting the sh*t players.

I want Spain to win to set up what will surely be the game of the tournament in the semis against France.
