Rush. F1 movie about the ribalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda in the 70s. Very good movie 8/10

lone survivor...tragic but good story...what these four seals went through i found it similar to what bravo two zero encountered....poor communication equipment and the unexpected appearance of goat herders to f**k up the mission.........those f**king goat herders!!!  .

From the start I knew who it was and when it was revealed (and I was correct) I pretty much jumped up in the cinema declaring my awesomeness... it just seemed that no one else in the room expected it due all the gasps. I felt immensely proud... then sad straight after because I had such a reaction to a movie plot. Foreshame.

Went to see Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom last night.  It was OK but no more.  Was disappointed that although I didn’t feel I know much about South African politics, I don’t feel I know much more now.  I felt it was overlong (2 hours 20 mins) as parts were a little slow.  The second half of the film was better than the first and it was well acted.  Overall rather underwhelming imo.

 

(and I hated Saving Private Ryan)

Saw The Wolf of Wall Street earlier, the only thing that makes sitting through a 3 hour film is Leo. I need something short and lighthearted next. 12 Years a Slave isn't ideal in that respect...!

Well with the weather still 'sucking' big time this winter I have managed to catch up on a few movies this week…Rush…so, so…. Hunger Games 2 - OK…Oblivion…OK if you like Sci-fi, Jack the Giant Killer ….kids only please, Lone Survivor - have to agree with Devil Dog, just to many goats in the studios these days, Wolf of Wall Street…entertaining, Homefront…typical Jason Statham - entertaining and finally The Counsellor which was a bit long in the build up but once it got going was decent, unusual role for Cameron Diaz, Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender and the gorgeous Penelope Cruz good performance from Javier Bardem also.

It's aloof, dripping with video game references. I don't see how any game geek worth their salt wouldn't like it.
