Really don't understand why we loaned so many people. With how thin our squad was and the fact Pasalic had a full pre-season with us i don't know why we let him leave on loan.

Like I said we won't get any of our target's and will start September with pretty much What we have now, the fact these deal's are just rumours just shows the inept performance of the board

The team needs players and they are pussy footing around fiddling their thumbs like dumb and dumber, it's so frustrating because if we made any significant effort to sign our target's we would get them.

Yes, this was the most puzzling thing for me - even more than chalobah (who wanted to leave) I'm not sure why we didn't keep on Pasalic, at least until end of window. I guess it shows we are confident of landing a few targets but there's a difference between confidence and foolhardiness.

Both Pasalic and Van Ginkel should have been kept until we had new players in imo. 2 players that could at least fill a gap if needed. 

If the board are planning on spending less for what ever reason from now on,  I think they should address it, if fans are dissapointed after the window, give us an inclination of the clubs plans for the next 5 years so we do t have false hope.

Winning the title expecting to strengthen and increase depth just being w**ked off isn't fair on fans, the least they would do is address it if there is a change in policy.

 Doesn't have to be "lads we're not as rich brace yourselves" just that club vision for 5 years is to build a younger team, build on what we have, cut back on unecessary spending while we build our new stadium...then people could relax a bit.

I think that's fair. Given the fact we're supposed to be defending champions, it's all starting to look a bit of a shambles. The silence will always be filled with noise from the media, rival fans etc. and none of it will be positive, so either get out in front of this thing or buy some players. I appreciate very often secrecy is necessary, but I don't see many other clubs finding themselves in this situation too often, so it'd be good to know that there is a direction, whatever that may be, I'm sure we'd all get behind it!

I honestly think that if that was the case, it wouldn't be the worse thing to bring in a manager that is good at working with young players, and try to bring through a load of the fantastic prospects we have. 

It might be top 6 rather than top 4 for a few seasons, but I'm sure we could unearth some real gems that could improve us massively in the long run. 

The trouble is, you can't have a manager like conte, and players like hazard, when you aren't building to win the champions league. We need to match the ambitions of our best assets or we will lose them. 

If the board is planning to spend less they should have told it to Conte. Seems he is promised much more than he's got so far.

No way they would have waited.This same board we've been watching their actions? When they see the ££££ calling, what are they waiting for?  Don't forget most of our Grade A and B loan dealings always have a great financial angle for the club.

Spot on. Just some clarity. We have reasonable fans judging from what i see on here. You have the odd domestic tiff {DonAntonio i'm not accusing you lol ;-) } but if you looked around a few other fan forums, the cesspit of vile abuse and lack of sensibilities is shocking, more than it should be. Let the fans know what you're up to. I'm not entitled and demand title victory year after year, or even top 4 as i believe it is a competitive league. I just want the right things to be done with some modicum of respect shown to the fans.
