Don't see why he would go to RM - never getting in over Carvahal.

He can offer him first team action - and 20m is an absolute bargain.

Whats most encouraging is seeing our bench today coming to rumours for some hope and seeing drinkwater 

PSG are willing to sell Matuidi for $25 to Juve if they get Fabinho from Monaco.

Why would we not just bid $30 and get it done quickly, hes fit, hes not bad and would shore up our cm position giving Bakayoko time to recover.

Matuidi is a catastrophically bad footballer.

I'd still just about have him over Drinkwater if the price is the same.

we should just sign fabinho. He would start right wing back, and provide cover for centre midfield.

We have all said that at various times in this window when players are clearly available yet we seem to be doing nothing.

Rodriguez, Tollisio, Sanchez, Danilo and the list goes on. All players we would be better off having and given our stature with various record levels of income and selling players you would think the money to do great things.

We certainly don't seem to have the attraction we once had, which strange as we pay well, we have some fantastic players, nice place to live, and we challenge for trophies. 

I don't understand the club's policy. If money was tight, we should've kept some more experienced squad players, van ginkel would have been useful. 

If we aren't tight for money, then get some deals done, bring in the level of player that improves a title winning team. 

All very strange unfortunately. It's going to be a big couple of weeks.

It's so weird. There are so many mixed messages surrounding this summer that it's hard to pinpoint the club's transfer policy. First we sell our old players which is fine since they need moving on but then they don't really replace them indicating that we want to give our youth minutes on the pitch. Then we loan/sell our best youth prospects out because they're not good enough. Also fair, which implies that we'll go for top players but then pennypinch on these players because ? Then the manager comes under fire because he didn't have the right number and quality of players (Which I hope doesn't come true and the last game was just a blip).

We have just won a title and signed multiple new sponsorship deals last year, logic would assume that we should have more money and are able to attract the best even with Conte not being as famous as Pep or Jose. Something is wrong somewhere. I understand Madrid being a rival but the rest of the superclubs haven't really shone the past 2 years to have such a big pull over us.
