Lukaku........no, just no. Better than he was a United, but we won't be winning anything with him leading the attack.

title is won in 'litlle' games

Im also not a fan of Lukaku leading the line. While he has done well at Inter, some players are just not meant to be in certain leagues and I dont think he will perform well in Premier League or our team. I'd love to be proven wrong though if we do end up signing him.

I have zero doubt that La Liga is just talking hardball here. We all know that they will eventually cave and work with them because of the revenue Barca bring in for the entire league.

the real threat is if the sponsors start pulling back.

I’m pretty sure, the way Barca have been ran the last few seasons, just paying whatever amount of money a club wants for a player…  they’re pretending they’re playing fifa

Normally I'd agree here but I think this time is different. La Liga need Barcelona to be financially competitive more than they need Barcelona to be sporting competitive. Essentially they're saying they're not seeing a return on their 'investment' aka media rights paid to Barcelona, and too much is being spent on Messi.

It's also worth pointing out that Javier Tebas (head of La Liga) is persona non grata in Catalonia. A self-proclaimed Real Madrid fan who believes that Barcelona and Espanyol should be kicked out of La Liga should Catalonia ever secede from Spain and a far-right populist politically. Barcelona will go full conspiracy/siege mentality if they need to.

See rule number 1 of the transfer market. Never buy a player off one good tournament performance.

Chiesa is more than just 1 good tournament. He is a very gifted player.
but I think we have priorities on other positions.

Chelsea are ‘most active in recent days’ to try and sign Antoine Griezmann.

The Blues see the operation to sign the attacker, most likely on a loan deal, ‘very favourably’.

Would you take Griezmann on loan? Surely Barca won’t let him leave on loan. Dare I say he looks a little washed up as well?

Agree with the latter part.

James Rodriguez was a very gifted player too who no one knew anything about before the 2014 World Cup. El Hadji Diouf was a very gifted player before the 2002 World Cup also. There are lots of ifs and buts. But it's the number 1 rule of transfers for a reason.

No and I like him as a player. If you wanted him, Euro2016 was the time. He's faded recently and I have questions about his attitude these days.

You also couldn't play he and Havertz in the same team.

Agree with not buying players just based on a few games.

But for those that have seen Chiesa play for Juve or Fiorentina know that he will be an asset for pretty much every team.

Exactly, Its why I was wary when some were saying we should sign that Danish striker as he had played well in this tournament.

I was very confused - looking at profile pictures - thinking you were over here replying and having conversations with yourself.

Washed up? Nope.

Griezmann is very2 good but we have Havertz who want to play in the same zone so no.

Should Roman add the explosive Chiesa and would Juve sell?

We have 8 attackers in the team. If we sign another one, we either need to sell  or he is very2 cheap or he is just a must sign

Looks like Utd are picking up sancho and varane for around £100m. Good value for top players. Can’t help thinking at least one of them would have improved us.
