Doubt he would replace Kane. I don't think Jonathan David is an an out and out centre-forward. More a second striker similar to Nkunku.

Diogo Costa is valued at £65-75 million is that not also very expensive?  I'm not sure what is classed as expensive these days.

    60m? On the basis of what? I think he has played in a total of 46 games, completing 90 mins on 7 occasions with Southampton and 0 for us and 7 goals I think. Now returning from a cruciate injury. I don't see 60m there.

    That said, despite all the above he is still better value than Lukaku. How will we shift Lukaku if people know that Broja is available from us

    I don’t see the benefit in selling him now. This is not like maatsen or hall, who won’t sign a new deal. He is tied down for a while so we may as well see if he can get back some form/market value.

    Also, unless we sign a new #9, surely he is needed

    Broja is a strange one.  I like him as a player.  He is considered to be one footed and he is not really recognised for being anything obviously exceptional. He is under stated. that said, IF we had a faster player lined up as an alternative, well then.
