The saudi bid for mbappe is rediculous. Mbappe is in the final year of his contract with no intentions of signing an extension, whilst psg are literally now openly desperate to flog the player so they get a return for him, of which only a handful of elite clubs could ever afford his wage demands .  So regardless of past valuations, you could literally never get a more clear example where its a total buyers market. Why would anyone bid 300 mil when psg are doing well to get 80.mil for him at this point. They have no leverage what so ever.  The saudi offer makes little sense, its like buying a fire damaged house for the value it was before the fire.

Qatar and Saudi do not have good relations at the moment. In fact, they have only recently reconciled with qatar having previously cut all diplomatic ties with them. The rift was so huge that Saudi closed the border, of which up to 80% of Qatars food entered the country.

Although diplomatic relations have thawed to the extent that there are now diplomatic relations, there remains a distrust of each other and they remain regional and global competitors (as a regional hub for business, aviation, sport and investments etc).

Lucas Gourna at Salzburg could be an alternative to Caicedo. Similar profile. Only issue is his age (19) but I do remember him dominating our midfield when we played them. 

Gvardiol to City currently looks to be off. Would this be a better use of 100M than Caicedo given our situation with Fofana?

Could be City's masterplan. We spunk 100 mill on Gvardiol and they buy a crocked Fofana from us for 30 mill next season and transform him into the best defender in the league.

Is Fofana "crocked"?  He is injured. That happens in football. He is also a right sided CB and Gvardiol is a left sided CB.

Gvadiol is an amazing player and easily the best young CB in the world right now.  Who would you replace Levi Colwill - the great English hope of Chelsea - or Badiashile - who has been really great?

Isn't Fofana crocked? He's been here a year and has had two lengthy injuries, the current being an ACL. Prior to that at Leicester he also had a broken leg and other injuries resulting in us sending him for a special medical in the States.

He's what, 22?

Think we need a reality check about this lad. Great player potentially but sadly made of biscuits.
