Easier option is, open the forum and click the number of replies over the far side (yellow ring around it)

That doesn't work for me, it's not a site administrator/moderator privilege is it?

I can do it if I'm viewing the forum section/subsection (eg: General Chelsea FC), not the view new content page.

I can;t even see anything with a yellow ring round it.  What do you mean by "far" side - right or left?

Question is, when he comes back will he continue his reasonable form, or do his usual and fade away again.

I hope he continues it obviously, but we've had far too many false dawns in the past to believe that with any real certainty.

He added the yellow ring to draw attention to it, no such thing on the actual page. If you click in there where it says 'x replies' it should come up.

Same, just tested it out.

I was originally looking at the new content page when it wouldn't work.

Well done Sherlock, have a cookie.

From what I've seen this season so far, Torres seems to be on some kind of form, but are we always going to be hypercritical? He's looked about as sharp this year as he has since joining us (even so, still no sign of prolific league goal scoring), but I sometimes feel that there's too much water under the Bridge (pardon the obvious....) and we will always be looking for mistakes in his game. All players make mistakes, but you tend to cut them a bit of slack when it's not overly persistant.

I'm just not sure how to evaluate Torres as there have been flashes of moments when he's recently looked back to his best, but it's interspersed with poor control and a touch of headless chicken impressions, but maybe there was always that element to his game, just not as often.

Winston Churchill's quotation, made in a radio broadcast in October 1939:

"I cannot forecast to you the action of Fernando Torres. He is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key could be Jose Mourinho."

There is an old saying: form is temporary, class is permanent.

I am trying to work out how it applies to Torres, but I can't see how it does.

I think we all know he's never going to be the goal scoring menace he was at Liverpool, but I'll be happy for him to get us 20 goals a season. Thankfully we have other players that can score goals.

I should not worry, I look at it as, who ever gets the call we are playing with this new terminology, a false no9, saves me lot of frustration.

I have a feeling that Jose might actually pull off the seemingly impossible: Torres's Revival.

If he does all bets are off as to who the greatest manager of all time is.

Surely you know by now that the manager is incidental at Chelsea

Must admit I find this quote strange ..

“I know I have many things to do at this club to give the confidence back to the owner."

Wonder where Mourinho fits into all this?

The Torres in his more recent games for us reminds me of the one that used to terrorise us in a red shirt! I'd say that's a good thing.

My dad supports Liverpool so I have seen most of the games he played for them, and I can honestly say he has NEVER looked like that Torres here. He's looked hungry at times, and maybe slightly dangerous in some games, but he hasn't looked like the Torres of 2008-09. Nowhere near. THAT Torres left most defenders for dead, skipped round the keeper, and buried every chance in sight. That Torres scored impossible goals from the maddest angles, and made it look effortless. That Torres was bursting with swagger and confidence.

I have never seen that in a blue shirt. I've seen fleeting glimpses of him getting back TOWARDS that, but never like that.

I think he meant regarding the transfer fee we paid for him.

Good interview that. It is good that he said things straight there. Especially the part where he said "If I do well people say it is so-so and he can do better but when I do bad it is a disaster" or something along the lines. That pretty much sums up this whole thread. This is actually 400-pages of that.
