Nigel Adkins sacked

That really is poor from the Southampton board - something to rival out own and their sh*t decisions.

Adkins has worked wonders getting them to the PL and has turned things around for them this season and they are on a good run. Really hope they capitulate now just like Wolves last season - it'll serve them right.

Mad decision I agree after what the has done for them, I think some of the fans dont agree with the players he bought in the summer apart from that I think he has done an excellent job

Blueblur, it appears we have both started exactly the same thread in the same minute

Great minds...

Wonder what the league managers association or whatever they are called will say to this. S'ton will get relegated in all likelihood now. Unless this new guy is the new Special One.

Shocking treatment of Adkins. He's done a remarkable job with Southampton after where they came from when he was first appointed. This is another classic example of manager's not being respected by the owners.

A shocking decision and its up there with RDM's sacking as unjustified.

I wonder if Roman had a word with the Southampton chairman at Stamford Bridge, told him satisfying it is to fire a manager. They had no right to fire him, he won back to back promotions regardless of what happened to them in the league this season he should have been allowed to stay

Well, this is awkward!

The Shed End Forum relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible without pop ups, we need to run ad's to make sure we can stay online and continue to keep the forum up, as over the years costs have become very high.

Could you please allow adverts on this domain by switching it off. Some of the advert banners can actually be closed to avoid interferance of your experience on The Shed End.

Cheers now!

Sure, I've got it!
