Did you not see how hard it was this summer to buy a centre back?. I know Cahill isn't great but its not like we have a nice big list to choose from to replace him with.

September 24, 20169 yr Conte's right hand in Chelseapoli affair. 4 matches in a row, the same mistake. Coincidence?

Hell even Ake can play better at CB than this sh*t show. Cahill has to go in January. Edited September 24, 20169 yr by Orpington_Blue
September 24, 20169 yr He urgently needs taking out of the firing line. His confidence took a serious knock against Swansea, the subsequent mistakes have seriously affected him mentally. It will take great fortitude for him now to bounce back, I'm not sure he has it in him. He's been a great servant for us, sad to see him going out on a low.

Who we have that deserve a shot over his current form fortunate for Cahill these guys are on loan Andreas Christensen Matt Miazga Then the rest Koulibaly Manolas Marquinhos Lindelof There are loads of centrebacks options there really is after such a woeful terrible display he needs to be dropped!!! The fact he wasn't subbed off is only because we had no good centreback on the damn bench which for me is infuriating he was a total disgrace today lets not act like this is the only time he has had a bad display it's been consistent from last season all the way til now how long do we keep on playing him do we not care about trying to get into the top 4? In January we will need to make a move for a centreback If we want to do something this looks so bad we struggled with Leicester, Liverpool now Arsenal and we've kept the defense the exact same.

David Luiz can work as one of the two centrebacks but he needs someone good beside him I think it's more beneficial to play Luiz in 343 or 352 something has to be done we essentially lost this game because of one player.

So you dont agree with him being sold but you dont want him to play either. Guess he must be really young with loads of potential then. Oh wait....

September 24, 20169 yr @Orpington_Blue Cahill undoubtably has his flaws as shown in your clip. He has though served the club well for which he deserves respect. I feel though he his now mentally scarred, the Swansea incident though not entirely his fault has an affected him to a degree whereby he cannot function adequately within the team framework. The time is right to withdraw him from the firing line. I sincerely hope he bounces back but like Ivan his better days are beyond him.

September 25, 20169 yr Arguably now playing worse than Brana...that's how low he's sunk and should be dropped the moment Jt is fit

How much respect did Jose show to Hasselbiank and Desaily? We need to be cold and get rid of the dead weight. If a player can not recover from a mistake 3 games later then he does not deserve a place even on the bench. You are being too soft here I think.
September 25, 20169 yr I know Terry and Zouma are injured but with Ivan being undroppable surely it would of been better to play Ivan at CB and get Cahill out the firing line until at least Terry comes back. Ivan is also awful at the moment but Chelsea need to do anything to get him out of RB. There can't be another season of buying an expensive LB to just sit on the bench. Unlike Baba and Luis, Alonso needs to be in the starting 11 to establish himself and get a good run of games.

I was actually meaning more respect from us the fans. The amount of personal abuse that is thrown at players who have helped us win lots of silverware I find unbelievable( I wasn't meaning you inparticular btw). Cahill and Ivan have granted gone over the top in performance levels but both have an attitude that a few other players within the team could learn from. Should they be in the team now? Definetly not, Cahill has had flaws within his game from the moment we signed him but has put in some good performances too. As I stated though earlier is now metally scarred and should be taken out of the team for his own good. Edited September 25, 20169 yr by charierre

Fully agree, its ridiculous to see people calling players all kinds of abusive terms just because they arent playing well, wanting them to break a leg, hoping they play poorly so they get dropped etc. it completely baffles me.
