September 11, 20169 yr Cahill might get a ban from Fa for these tweets and with Terry getting a knock we might see David Luiz and Alonso in not to long.

He hasn't really said anything wrong though. Posting a video of the incident and then saying incredible with a few emoji's is hardly worth a ban.................oh wait, i forgot the most important part, he's playing for Chelsea.

September 11, 20169 yr If they do ban him for his comments, it'll likely be a day or two before the game, they seem to enjoy doing that, players can't say anything these days.

I would avoid interviews because i know i would get more annoyed as the questions are getting asked. I think it's bullsh*t that players get bans for showing passion and criticising ref's, let them say what they really want to say.
September 11, 20169 yr Quote "It's a clear foul. I'm frustrated. Come on, seriously! You could be sat on the moon and see it is a clear foul. I took the touch away from him, he came through the back of me. It was clear as day and seeing it back has made me even more angry. "It's all fun and games for the fans isn't it but it's the players who suffer. That kills me and kills my team. We have dropped two points which is massive in this league. "Look at my face! It's incredible. I said to the referee there's three of you that can see that. There were two fouls, and between the officials they have said that they couldn't see it. For me that is incredible." Gary hasn't held back in his opinion of the officials! Hopefully he won't get an charges from the FA as a result but it wouldn't surprise me if he does.
September 11, 20169 yr Whilst it will result in a ban I'm glad he's had the balls to say it. Nothing will get done now but hopefully it brings greater scrutiny into a referee's performance and in future fines and suspensions will be handed out. It's the only way they'll learn, whilst immune from action why should they give a flying f**k? The FA/UEFA/FIFA should hurt them like they do the players. Demoting them for a game does buck all either.
September 11, 20169 yr Mariner was very poor and Cahill was clearly fouled, but I struggle to make sense of the chip Cahill does at 00:00-00:001 in this video: Why does he chip the ball in that situation giving Fer time to close him down?
September 11, 20169 yr What did he learn about the English game? I'm sure he would have wanted to say: "I learned the ref can be completely garbage and get away with it."

He doesn't chip the ball on purpose it is a mis-controlled touch but it still doesn't change the fact Fer clearly fouled him not once but twice. Without the fouls there is no goal conceded. It was a terrible miss by Marriner. I noticed today how we played balls square along the back line in tight situations. This has obviously been instructed by Conte IMO but he might have to re-evaluate as you often get closed down so quickly at the back in this league you don't get the time or space to do that.
September 11, 20169 yr Be very surprised if he isn't suspended particularly given the League's increased attempts to protect referees. Yes he's right but it's a dumb play. Similarly he was fouled but his touch was poor and the pass from JT was probably not the right one either. In any case, probably not the moment you want in the first game after we resign David Luiz.
September 12, 20169 yr I don't believe refs should face fines for making misses like this but i do think they should be given help. All the officials missed that somehow so why not bring in some form of video evidence that someone can review and quickly relay to the ref that it was a foul so he can bring play back. We could see a replay within seconds of it happening, why can't they get this information across to the refs?
September 12, 20169 yr Part of me thinks he/we the club have to accept bad decisions lets not waste energy on this. Part of me thinks that Gary isn't the type of player to speak out on these matters and he has perfectly fair points. 3 officials don't see that and he is not calling anyone names or personally criticising individuals so I don't think he will be banned, at worst slapped wrist and tone it down a bit maybe. Agree with Adam, it is at least good too see how much it means to him
September 12, 20169 yr Don't see what he could possibly be banned for, he's just stated facts that anyone who watches the replay can confirm.
September 12, 20169 yr He can't put himself in that position, but my God it's a clear foul. Twice. Basically gave Swansea a point.
