So piazon is a better 10 than the current brazil national sides 10 based on one good season in Holland. Marvelous.

When Oscar actually plays the 10 role for a brazil then I will agree with you. They say he plays in that spot but he plays much deeper with the Brazil team. Yes he starts in the 10 spot but doesn't actually play that role for the team. He ends up playing deep playmaker role much more often during the game. He is better in a deeper role for sure.

Am I right in saying Oscar wasn't even in the squad for our trip to Anfield? Rested for tomorrow or not selected due to recent form? He did have a brilliant start to the season yet nothing seems to be working for him lately, I've really enjoyed the rare occasions when Willian has been deployed in the no 10 role!

Luiz also wasn't included and I'm pretty sure Hazard could have been fit for the game if we felt it was a must win. I think there was a handful of players that Jose had no intention of seeing on the pitch on sunday no matter the circumstance, Oscar being one of them

So based on this he should be involved tomorrow night , I see no logic in him missing the Liverpool game to be an used sub tomorrow night!

I'm liking him to cause problems tonight with the batteries hopefully recharged and Gabi suspended.

He is due a big performance, we need all our creative players at it tonight because Ath Madrid are strong defensively.

He is a great talent, scores some special goals...

 

He's had too many bad games, in particular with really poor attempts.

 

However, I'd have fancied him to score one of the free kicks Luiz took in the first leg.

He's had a decent amount of rest so he should be fully charged and ready to go. If we see another poor performance tonight from him i will be very disappointed.

No game time for Oscar again tonight. Starting to wonder if Mourinho has lost some faith in him, started the season well but seems to have completely gone off the boil.

 

I do wonder what will be happening with Oscar next season. A lot of people are saying he hasn't had any rest and that is why he is the way he is right now, but it's not like he is going to be getting any rest going into next season either. So what do we do ? right now i don't really want to be going into next season with this Oscar as our number 10.

His dropping from the team seems to have coincided with Oscar giving the interview about being very tired. Not sure if he's just giving him a long overdue rest or he's genuinely fallen out of favour, it would seem bizarre when just a month ago he said Oscar was worth 200m if PSG were interested.

Surprised Jose has gone with Willian over Hazard for the 10 role recently to be honest, I think Hazard is a lot better in the middle.

Oscar and hazard dropped their form around Feb. Since then we've been pretty toothless apart from open teams like arsenal. Hate to keep coming back to mata but we've definitely missed him in certain games

Yes certain games. He wouldn't have helped us tonight and possibly in some of the other big games - City and Pool away. He may have opened up Palace though...

Have to admit I did laugh at that comment.

 

Not sure what has happened to him, maybe he has been nursing an injury for some time but I just do not see Jose forcing him to play through it when he form has been rather poor.

Now to be fair on this forum Mikel and Torres get far more blame for negative results when they are not playing than anyone else does lol.

He is clearly nursing an injury. In the jose interview before the game he said that he couldn't afford to start hazard, oscar and eto together. He had to choose one and he chose hazard. 

 

Oscar really needx to hit the ground running next season. Hopefully he has a good world cup and comes back confident.
