RE Hazard vs Lampard.

I've not seen Hazard score goals of the technical brilliance of those that Frank scored like the lobbed goals against Barca and Hull. The chest, turn and volley against Munich. Any of the numerous 30 yard thunderbolts.

Frank's passing range was much better too, he could play a. 30/40 yard defence splitting through ball (one in particular for Drogba I'm thinking of I think against Man City)

With the exception of dribbling I don't think Hazard can do anything than Frank did personally.

One has that crucial ability to pull off a cheeky wink and say 'ooh-lala'.

He was the only good player for long stretches. Particularly in the RDM/Benitez period and the second part of Mourinho's first season. Most goals, by far most chances created in the league etc.

 

PSG offered how much? 80m? The highest offer for Lampard was 5m from Inter Milan in 2010 I believe.

 

It's ridiculous really. Barring Robben, he is by far the most talented player Chelsea have ever had and all he gets is spite because he's not British and wants the club to play good football instead of the primitive crap that brought the Premier League down to where it is.

 

Honestly I hope he gets out asap.

You're on another planet. I've got nothing against hazard and rate him, but he has shown the start of this year why he nowhere near the level FL was. exceptional talent, average application

I can't believe the stick that Hazard is getting.  I remeber the stick he got for being "too arrogant" even before we signed him, then he was great, then in a time when everyone is underperforming and he's battling injuries (and yes, I think they are genuine injuries) he is being vilified.  Also, I very much doubt that he was responsible for Jose being sacked...that's just far too easy a finger to point.

 

He's a fantastic player and carried us single handed in a good part of prior seasons (similar to Mata previously).  I think it would be a mistake to get rid of him

Recall that thunderbolt that got nominated for goal of the season vs Stoke in his 1st year?. Or the one vs Hull last season. I think its down to the system, we rarely take shots outside the box. He had the highest assist in the league also in his debut year. Can't forget that lovely chip pass for Schurrle vs Fulham in 2012/2013.Sorry I'm a fan boy...

Lampard vs Hazard can't be based on who's better with the long range strike. I agree GhostOFDembaPast's post. We shouldn't even be comparing them. Lampard's everything Chelsea.

That Hazard has more natural talent than Lampard is obvious.

 

Equally obvious is that  Lampard never had a half a season this bad with us, let alone in his prime, despite having less talent.

You act like he didnt have some off periods last season and the prior one either. If real give us 100 mil offer for him then i'm pretty sure that wouldnt be a bad sale. It's not like we would waste it like liverpool did with suarez or tottenham with bale.

Rumors going around here in sweden from some well respected football journos about a swap deal between eden & bale wether it be now or after the season remains to be seen....

You'll find that sadly even we have a few rather primitive supporters whose judgement of our only truly great player will be based on stories by the sun, the daily mail and their pubmates. 

 

Lampard's been a great player and his contribution is undoubted. But did he get the same stick when he virtually didn't contribute for his final 3 years (apart from penalties)? Nah, legend. Every time he didn't waste possession was celebrated like Christmas.

 

However, Hazard is made the scapegoat even though his average overall contribution per season has been greater than Lampard's except for this season - when he is visibly frustrated for obvious reasons. 

 

For his own sake he should leave. It's sad to admit, but he deserves better than the criticism of that ungrateful mob.
