January 9, 201610 yr I remember the good old days when football was about goals and not just mindless dribbling into blind alleys. He needs players to make space for him, it's a team game you know, if Costa can pull defenders out of position more often, Eden will attack the spaces more.
January 9, 201610 yr I would only be ok with Hazard going if we got £30-40 million plus Bale for him and got another big player like Reus. Hazard's talent can't be given up lightly, even though we haven't seen much of it at all this season.
January 9, 201610 yr I remember the good old days when football was about goals and not just mindless dribbling into blind alleys. Which Hazard doesn't do. Last season stats: Most chances created: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) 99 Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea) 91 David Silva (Man City) 91 Stewart Downing (West Ham) 84 Most chances created from open play: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) 98 David Silva (Man City) 84 Raheem Sterling (Liverpool) 74 Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) 71 I also think I'm right in saying he also created the most chances in the premier league in 2013/2014 season as well. I honestly don't think his performances this season our as bad as people are making its just the fact he hasn't scored makes it seem worse. Not that I'm saying he shouldn't be criticised for it. This season: Eden Hazard chances created 0 Goals scored 0 That was than this in now.
January 9, 201610 yr This season: Eden Hazard chances created 0 Goals scored 0 That was than this in now. Firstly i didn't say he has been great this season but Imran was suggesting Hazard just runs down blind alleys, Hazard has been the most creative player in the PL the last 2 seasons. Despite Hazard not being at his best this season i would still put a bet on that he has created more chances that anyone else in our team.
January 9, 201610 yr It isn't simply a question of talent though. Attitude, determination and, sometimes, a willingness to sacrifice for the team. That's what makes a club Legend. I just don't feel it from Hazard, but I acknowledge he can be a great player. A galatico. IMO his ambitions lie beyond SW6 and it shows.
January 10, 201610 yr Now sounds like maybe Man city are going for him, with De Brunye and Kompany could be good sweeteners for him?
January 10, 201610 yr Now sounds like maybe Man city are going for him, with De Brunye and Kompany could be good sweeteners for him? There is no way we would sell him to Manchester City.
January 10, 201610 yr This season: Eden Hazard chances created 0 Goals scored 0 That was than this in now. He has actually created chances.
January 10, 201610 yr There is no way we would sell him to Manchester City. We sold Mata to utd. We sold Cech to Arsenal.
January 10, 201610 yr We sold Mata to utd. We sold Cech to Arsenal. Neither were in the first 11 though.

January 10, 201610 yr Somewhat of a conspiracy theory I know, but it wouldn't surprise me if Hazard is holding back on his performances to lower his market value.Problem with your theory is it all depends on how much the club are willing to accept for him. He's on a 200,000/wk which is 10.4m per year, multiplied by the number of years left on his contract will equate 52m in addition to the 12.8m owed to Lille for his purchase in amortization (tedious to explain this) which means he won't cost a pound less than 64.8m pounds.
January 10, 201610 yr sorry, but that is crazy. that never, ever happens for a start. madrid typically buy players who are in form surely? also what it says about hazard I think is totally out of order. he's regarded as a nice, quiet bloke not a machiavellian arsehole.
January 10, 201610 yr My comment was targetted at our current state of play and the directness which Lampard offered when we struggled to break teams down. It seems like people have forgotten the impact he had due to his tenacity, regardless of how talented you are at the end of the day you will be judged by number of goals and assists. As good as Hazard is, mentally he appears to be weak either in the sense he is looking forward to his move to Spain or he has lost his motivation after winning the league. Player of hia calibre should not be having the kind of spell he is having at present.
January 10, 201610 yr Prove the lack of goals & assists from Hazard in comparison to the last few years? I guess the dip is self evident I still believe that Hazard is one of the best players in the world but I think the hunger is gone after winning the league last season. Madrid are genuinely interested and I dont blame Hazard for having his head turned due to the lack of protection he receives from refs in the EPL.

Stan Collymore? Read he hates anything Chelsea
January 10, 201610 yr I remember reading a review on hazard by a Belgian journalist on twitter when he first joined us, basically he said talent wont be a problem but drive and mental strength will. He intimated that hazzard just hasn't the driven needed to become the best player he can be, and he didn't see him being blocked to raise himself to the level of the top players.
January 10, 201610 yr Thank you, Imran_CFC. Don't know if it's honger or another dip. In that case, he needs a good manager or another motivator, Dkw. Has Chelsea one?
January 11, 201610 yr I don't know the lady in the photo, but if she is your average season ticket holder, someone who spends thousands of pounds of her money on following and supporting the club, money that ends up mainly in the players bank accounts, then she is entitled to have her say. It certainly doesn't embarrass me, they deserved a kick up the arse and more. I agree its not what you want to see but It's not like she is burning a shirt is it? As for Hazard, I will be stunned if he is still a Chelsea player at the beginning of next season. Agreed with you both, but the fact that she can't even get Hazard's name right is what's embarrassing
