May 10, 20233 yr I have looked at modelling what a stand-by-stand redevelopment would be like. I have kept the existing West stand, and one at a time, demolished the other three stands, with each being replaced by a new stand using the West stand profile, to create a completed seating bowl. It does actually fit into the site, but probably caps capacity at about 55K. Although, seating views and comfort, and general facilities are obviously greatly improved.

Yeah , ticket price increases for season after next reading that club email to season ticket holders I reckon. Or the Bridge renamed as the " Boehley Bowl" ? May 14, 20233 yr Does this take in the possible purchase of the Oswald Stoll site? Size and capacity.
July 19, 20232 yr https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jul/19/chelsea-agree-to-buy-land-next-to-stamford-bridge-stadium-rebuild-earls-court?CMP=share_btn_tw Quote Buying the land owned by Stoll is essential for Chelsea if they are to knock down Stamford Bridge and go ahead with a major expansion. Doing so will give them more room for a rebuild, which is why they cannot afford for another developer to win the bidding process. Stoll received 13 bids and the consultation with residents will run for nine weeks, with a final decision due in the autumn. Under the proposed plans Stoll will retain 20 flats on the Fulham site. Looks like we will find out this fall

Will be interesting to see what happens. If permission is granted by the local council I wonder if the ground will be turned ninety degrees as that may get around the problem of line sight from Richmond Park to St. Paul's Cathedral. Will be interesting to see what the locals think about Oswald Stoll Mansions being sold and removed. Is is possible that parts of the Oswald Stoll Mansions are listed and would have to be retained. I'm thinking of the entrance which lists a number of battle honours and campaigns.

Some more information about the proposal and the full press release from the Stoll site. Quote The Board of Trustees for Stoll has agreed in principle and subject to further resident consultation to sell the majority of its Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions site in Fulham to Chelsea FC ownership group. Under the proposed plans Stoll would only retain the 20 flats at the Sir Oswald Stoll Mansions in Fulham in what is currently known as the “400 block.” Stoll would not retain any other properties on the site. Stoll fully understands that the first resident consultation carried out in 2022 addressed a part site sale and that this proposed sale involves Stoll retaining a smaller footprint. The charity is now entering into a new resident consultation on this proposal. Our absolute priority is and always has been the wellbeing of our veterans; residents will continue to be consulted and supported throughout this process. https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1457123?section=official-list-entry
July 21, 20232 yr Not sure what that purchases accomplishes unless they are aiming to buy that entire block, its just a row of flats on the street isnt it? Theres a full block of buildings in behind it.

Most of the concerns against any expansion from H&F council have about getting fans out of the ground.

July 22, 20232 yr The blue outline is the bits that have "listed building" status. We are buying the whole Stoll site bar the smaller building on the left which has all the 400s flat numbers. I don't think they can rotate the stadium, but it might mean they can redevelop the Shed end after moving the hotel, shop etc to the Stoll site ?
September 20, 20232 yr What Todd Boehly now really wants to happen at Chelsea by 2030 (thechelseachronicle.com) Possibly another false dawn - who knows?
October 4, 20232 yr I'm hearing that Clearlake are back-tracking from re-developing Stamford Bridge or building a new stadium as there are more pressing needs for the club. Instead they are building a state of the art medical treatment and physical rehabilitation centre including a fully staffed surgical theatre. Apparently it will have 120 beds to accommodate all our injured players and all the others who are still to be injured. Egbalhi is quoted as saying "we are proud to be the first ownership group in football with the vision to develop this type of facility. It will be key to ensuring that all our players can benefit from the best possible medical care when they can't play, and enables us to save significant money by undertaking the complex surgical operations and limb amputations many of our players require in-house". Egbalhi went on to say "the first two wings of the medical centre, the James and Chilwell wards, will be opening in 2025. With the N'kunku rehabilitation suite due to open in late 2026".

I actually fell for this right up to the " limb amputation " bit ! Nice one !
