Van Ginkel to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Nope but i think he realised when he got the injury chances of making the world cup squad were slim

I can't blame him if he secretly kept hoping, especially when his recovery went so well.

I think he'll get 10-15 mins in one game in the next few weeks. I doubt he'll have to sit out the rest of the season now he's fully recovered.

I think he will have to because unless two of our CM's are injured at the same time I can't see him making our matchday squad.

Or next...unless we jettison Mikel

I think it depends more on Lampard as van G is more of a box to box as opposed to a DM

He's been out so long I couldn't remember what role does he offer. I doubt he will get any time, maybe a few cameos in the CL if we run out of troops. Matic will play every single league game from now on, depends on the formation we got Ramires, lampard, Mikel, Luiz in contention.

Hope this lads recovery is going well.

Would like to see him back involved sooner rather than later, too many of our midfield and attacking midfield options are playing sub par.

Well, at least he's getting time on the pitch. That'll help strengthen him after his recovery. I hope he shines out there and leaves us spoilt for choice come pre season. Who else is looking forward to seeing how our loanees and youngsters fare in pre season? I for one think it'll be interesting.

Van Ginkel is definitely a player who intrigues me.

I think most of our youngsters and Loanees will be either sold or loaned out again.

Maybe Bertrand may come back if Ash leaves unless we get Shaw.

Marin, Moses, Lukaku, Piazon I think will be sold.

Other will be loaned out again.

There must be some retention at least. We can't keep doing this. What is the point in investing in youngsters if all we do is flog them off and ship them off to other clubs? Surely there must be at least a couple diamonds in there that are ready to at least show us what they can do? I read somewhere that we have some 27 players out on loan. More than any other club.

Well if you look at it like we have brought in KDB and sold for a profit with little game time, probably the same with the keeper at Atletico if we sell too.

I think it's a way around FFP, bring in talented youngsters and sell for a profit if we dont think they are ready for Chelsea. Not that I agree with it but hey it's not my money.

Guys like Atsu, Piazon, Hazard ect would get very little game time IMO when we have Schurrle, Salah and the likes struggling to get into the starting line up.
