Good stuff, hopefully he can play some minutes in a couple of youth team matches come the end of the month and then hopefully get back training with the first team next month.

 

If he's back to fitness and able to be on our bench by the end of March then I think he's recovery will have been pretty quick, hopefully the injury hasn't affect him too much. 

MVG described himself as a box to box midfielder.  His passing and tackling I think would make him a great partner in the middle to Matic.

WHY??? Why do you all think you know more than Jose and want to play players in other roles? This isnt football manager.

just opinions uno, there were plenty of people calling for luiz to play in midfield, sturridge to play down the middle etc.is it really that big of a statement to suggest an attacking midfielder could play centre midfield next to a more defensive player like matic?

its not like anyone is saying stick cech up front!

Oscar almost plays as a CM when he plays the #10 role. He comes so deep to get the ball and his stamina allows gim to track so far back that its essentially a 3 man midfield when he plays. Would be fun to see him as a CM in the pivot against lesser teams, would gives a lot more offensive ability

Brilliant news, it would be very good to see him return to first team action before the end of the season. In addition to that, the signing of Matic has provided van Ginkel with a more natural partner in midfield than any of our previous options, which should only enhance his chances of earning a run in the first team.
