Saw the Bundesliga highlights last night. Douglas Costa looks fantastic.

Left footed, quick, technical AM that can play on the right. Exactly what we could do with at the moment, and to think we were linked with this guy for months.

Lewandowski probably with a never to be beaten record tonight, 5 goals in 9 yes nine minutes, as a 2nd half substitute as well

Wolfsburg need to fire someone. Hes great but nobody is 5 in 9 minutes great.

That was one of the most amazing individual performances I've ever seen in 10 minutes of football! I'm still blown away by Lewandowski's performance.

Wasn't sure where to post this. Gerd Muller, one of the finest strikers of the last fifty years, is suffering from Alzheimer's. Very sad.

For Forty years he held the record for number of goals scored in a calendar year. 85 goals in 1972.

That's really sad. The way he destroyed England in the 1970 World Cup filled me with awe as a 10 year old, even if he made Peter Bonetti look daft.

Just got back from Germany, saw Dortmund-Augsburg and Leverkusen-Stuttgart. My god, the atmosphere over there really makes the premier league look sh*t

^ Have checked and it was fans of Sevilla that threw the tennis balls onto the pitch. Their game started at 10.30pm. Late kick-off was so that the Barca v Real Madrid game could be also be shown.

Not German, but Dutch - I went to watch Ajax in the league recently - tickets bought on Viagogo exchange were a total of 30 euros each, including all of their additional fees.

Younger son and three of his friends were over watching Hamburg v Hertha Berlin at the weekend.

It cost them 25 euros for their match ticket.

Which is why clubs don't have the money to compete with Bayern.
