April 15, 201412 yr He's still only young and having only played in the Swiss leagues so he WILL improve. His speed and control are already a huge bonus to us so it's only his finishing and final ball and that will come with time.
April 15, 201412 yr It's a bit of a shame really. If he had finished those chances he would be a nailed on starter for me. Just needs to practice more. He's definitely got it in him as his finish against Stoke was a great hit.
April 15, 201412 yr Where is SWP these days? Still at QPHa? Yep, he's started four games all season, he's been kept out of the team by Junior Hoilett, Benayoun and Gary O'Neil. He's played twice since September and now doesn't even make the bench. He must feel like he's in his own drawn-out version of Groundhog Day...
April 15, 201412 yr Hoping the Swansea game was the exception and the finishing I've seen from him before is the norm, did sme great build up play just a shame he couldn't finish em. I'd rather that way round though, it's easier to learn to do the finishing than to learn everything else, plus that way he can bring a lot more to the team whilst learning to hit the target more consistently
April 15, 201412 yr To be honest he look very clinical against us in the Europa league and with the 2 goals he's scored for us against Arsenal and Stoke. Probably had an off day against Swansea. I like him, he looks purposeful.

And I bet QPR are paying him £40k+ a week to do literally nothing. They're going to go into free fall if they don't get promotion this season... Good ol' 'Arry eh?

Something he needs to work on.
April 15, 201412 yr He seemed to be trying to hit the ball too hard, instead of placing it. Just needs to work on his composure.

Good ol' 'Arry eh? Haha yeah, it's almost beautiful. Redknapp will build you a fairly decent first XI, but he'll get through about thirty chancers on stupid wages to get you there. Not a wheeler dealer indeed...

Something he needs to work on. Maybe a little inconstant happens with young players. The signs are there that he has the ability. 6 appearances only 2 starts and 2 goals, not bad in my opinion.
April 15, 201412 yr Reading up on opinions all over the internet with regards to Salah, there were a few times his erratic finishing was mentioned. I think, as above, it is an area for development.
April 15, 201412 yr Did you see the Swansea match! The boys got talent no doubt but he's still got a long way to go before he establishes himself in the starting XI. Yes I know he had some misses and near misses but I've seen Drogba with some of the same or worse. I'm more just talking about his general skill set in terms of striking and agree he's got some growing to do, but with his fresh legs right now he's still a key player down the stretch. He's got goal scorers instinct more so than many of our attacking players who are passers or dribblers. I feel that its this last bit that has hurt our goal scoring abilities.
April 15, 201412 yr Yeah he's got that eye for a goal makes good runs to get in the right positions. We're all discussing the missed chances but I can't remember any of are other midfielders getting that many goal scoring opportunities in a game. Thats the one problem I have with Hazard he rarely makes runs behind the oppositions defence beyond the striker to receive the ball, even when we are breaking he hangs back waiting for a sideways/backward pass. If he just burst forward Ronaldo like he would score alot more goals.
April 15, 201412 yr I'm probably one of the very few who find Hazard frustrating to watch, especially on the left. You know he has all that pace and and talent so often slows play down. Imho, comparing Hazard to the Red Cristiano Ronaldo, the latter comes out well on top.

April 15, 201412 yr Haha agreed, sure we might like him to shoot a bit more but to call him tough to watch is a stretch.
April 15, 201412 yr What I will say in his defence though, he is very heavily marked in a lot of games and his team mates sometimes seem to rely too much on him. I would love him to do more of what he done against Newcastle for his goal, to mix things up more as well. He's obviously capable of it.
April 16, 201412 yr http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/04/14/forget-hazard-chelsea-stars-9-dribbles-against-swansea-show-he-i/
April 16, 201412 yr Hazard through the centre with schurrle and salah either side of him could be a very good midfield 3. That said, i think almost any combination of our 5 attacking mids can be lethal
April 16, 201412 yr Has looked excellent so far and I have no worries about the finishing, was just one of those days.. can see him getting double figures easy season on season. Scary to think we have so much talent on the books for those positions. And all so young.. piazon, Tongan, markorvich, boga to bane just 4 excellent prospects... crazy considering 3 years ago we were crying out for these kind if players

I would love him to do more of what he done against Newcastle for his goal, to mix things up more as well. He's obviously capable of it. Hazards got to get used to being doubled up on, but he has a habit of dropping back from his markers to receive the ball only to turn and try taking them on or create the through ball he should be recieving. I would like him to mix it up and run beyond the markers, I mean not many defenders will catch him particularly when we are breaking with space to run into. This is exactly what Salah does and is getting in to more goal scoring positions as a result. No disrespect to Salah I do like the player, but if a player of Hazards ability makes the runs Sahah does he would score 2x as many goals in my opinion.

Not sure what is happening to be honest, the whole situation seems very strange, if we were that interested in him, why didn't we just pay the 5m fee from partizan and then loan him to benfica? We've done that sort of deal loads of times. Instead it is reported that we have a part ownership arrangement with benfica? looks suspicious to me.
April 17, 201412 yr Salah should have scored agains't Swansea but his pure pace and tenacity on the ball is more than welcome. He's a great signing and will only better.
