Just an update on this one as I think people know by now that I want Pogba to join us however unlikely it may be.

Massive news going round that Real and Atleti have transfer bans coming up for the same reason as Barca.

This puts us and PSG are front runners now, along with possibly City just behind.

I'll keep everyone up to date.

Exactly. They will both be extra active this summer knowing they will miss out on the next two windows.

Strong rumours of Cavani leaving for either Juventus or Manchester United so that would probably offset the cost a fair bit.

To be fair, if he goes to PSG they will have a rock solid midfield. 

I doubt he'll be going to a club like city from the rumours i've been hearing. If he rejected PSG he'll reject city for sure

He's french himself, and money isn't a issue here. I just don't see him playing for a small club like City, if he were to move it will be to a top team. And not to mention he just made the UCL final, even if they lose it, Juve are finalists so he might not have any reason to move

He might want to move to a competitive league though. Juventus are clearly a top side, as are PSG but they both walked their respective leagues and the challenge isn't there. If money isn't an issue, I think it's even more likely he'll join the Premiership for footballing reasons.

Well seeing as money seems to be out the question, maybe he just wants to play for a truly top side like Real/Barca? Maybe he wants a competitive league, who knows

He's excellent but is he worth 60mil? I'm not sure about that. It a gamble.

I think they will keep pogba and also buy Cavani from PSG. It seems they have some money to spend so I don't think pogba will leave them.

I hope they will beat Barcelona in the CL final.

The skunk on his head alone should knock off about 5 million from his price.

I wouldn't say he's overrated, it's just that he has all eyes on him right now. But in my opinion he is not a better midfielder than Koke, and certainly not worth double the outlay.

The reason for the high valuation is mainly down to his age, he just turned 22. And for the position he plays, he has many many years he can still play at the top level, unlike the typical forward/winger.

 

But I do agree that 60m is a insane amount of money, quite sad that the last few years all these insane numbers are being thrown around like nothing. But I guess thats what happens as time goes on in football
