Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Yea but we all no you cannot do that, that was intent, and wrong, he did the same with JT, giving it large, and he is way to ugly for us....

You're just anti-spanish. Your constant criticism of Torres and now this.

And you're anti-ugly. Shallow Ballack.

To be fair, Costa does look quite scary.

Val, I can tell you never saw Ron Harris or Mickey Droy!

PS congratulations on tonight's win.

True, they were before my time, but they didn't look "he's going to cut my throat fot 5 quid" sort of scary, did they. Costa has a thuggish look, although obviously he may be a very sweet and lovely family man, adoring his mother.

PS that win f**ked up my office pool, I just can't forgive them.

There could be a million reasons/excuses, I just wish fans wouldn't overeact when we haven't even seen him in a blue shirt yet

Has there even been an over reaction? The rumours section is full of opinions on players who haven't played for us yet. Be a little boring if everyone sat on the fence about every transfer.

Well, yes and no.

Well if costa doesn't come, i hope we have someone useful in mind, otherwise it's another wasted window in regards to strikers. We CANNOT rely on Torres, Ba (if he stays) and Lukaku as our front three next season.

I truly believe there has just because a player plays one bad game they're sh*t

I thought Costa played ok.

Looked a little rusty, also like neither he nor his team had had long to adapt to each other's tactics, still won a penalty and worked to take the pressure off the Spanish defence far better than Torres did.

Why would you assume everyone who has reservations about him, is basing it on one game?

I've been saying the same things for months

Maybe those were the 3 times he had a bad game, he's scored plenty of goals last season so he must have done something right. You're provably one of those that didn't rate Cavanni because he was poor against us when you should see players come in and out of firm. Hazard was sh*te last few games of the season for us, had someone only seen those games they wouldn't rate him.

Oscar is an even better example. People forget that he's also coming back from injury. A classic number 9 trying to gel with that Spain starting XI is always going a tough ask.

Bang on Jack. There are no absolute stand out, proven world class strikers out there to buy. Messi, Ronaldo, Aguerro aren't available, and if they were could we afford them?

One thing is for certain, we absolutely need to make changes up front to win the league and, IMO, Costa looks the best option available.

Costa, Lukaku and Ba would be a big improvement on what we had to chose from last season IMO.

Costa, Lukaku and Ba would be great.  I fear we won't get rid of Torres though and convincing Lukaku about beeing second choice striker can also be a problem. I'm sure of one thing, if we bring in Costa and keep Torres, then there is no chance Lukaku would rejoin our squad next season.

I just think Costa doesn't fit into this Spanish team. Costa wants an early ball all the time but Spain keep trying to walk it in. I'll only judge him when I see him play in a chelsea shirt..

mmm…change the word 'Spanish' to Chelsea team and I think I've heard that before with a bloke named Torres
