Posted April 3, 201410 yr This guy should be in the squad next season. If Januzaj can be starting at Manure, Piazon can at very least be a bench guy, but I think he should get a few starts as well. I was looking at a few lists of best youngsters and this list has Piazon only a #2 to Januzaj http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/adnan-januzaj-manchester-united-midfielder-named-as-the-best-teenager-in-european-football-by-italian-newspaper-gazetta-dello-sport-9230737.html I hope we get him back next year along with Lukaku and some new signings like Costa and Shaw.
April 3, 201410 yr To be fair Januzaj is competing with Ashley Young and Piazon has to compete with Eden Hazard. He does appear to be further ahead of our other young loanees though and the club will probably prioritize him over Moses or Marin who will both probably be sold. If there is a loanee who will break into the first team next season, i'd rank his chances 3rd behind Lukaku and Courtois, but ahead of the likes of Romeu and Hazard jnr. If he has a good pre-season I think he'll stay, if not - another loan. Jose is a manager that likes small squads and not much rotation though. Edited April 3, 201410 yr by Jonty
April 3, 201410 yr His form has dropped off badly, been on the bench alot recently. I feel that if your not quick and have great energy getting up and down the pitch and pressing doing your defensive work then Mourinho is unlikely to play you. Not seen enough of Piazon to suggest he can or has this. I would like to see him get given a chance but i dont think its going to happen next season anyway.
April 4, 201410 yr I would like to see Piazon and T Hazard in the squad next year, it would be nice to at least see some success stories coming from the youngster ranks next season. Lukaku and Courtois have been much discussed on here already. Fantastic players but I can't foresee them being at the bridge next season. Courtois in particular, as he'll be at Madrid still. So much speculation about Lukaku at the moment and a certain London rival though, which pains me. Edited April 4, 201410 yr by theblueone
April 4, 201410 yr He's not ready for it. The thing he lacks most in my opinion is passion. He's a good footballer, but to me it looks like he can't be arsed.
April 4, 201410 yr Can't get excited about Piazon. Looks like he is just above average in talent. Nothing really stands out too much. Maybe in a few years he can be that forward who is good in tight spaces that the manager is looking for...
July 23, 201410 yr Think hes going to struggle in the Bundesliga, hopefully he does alright so we can get make some profit on him.
July 23, 201410 yr A player like him should thrive in the more open Bundesliga. Look forward to him racking up the goals and assists.
July 23, 201410 yr What i like about him is he doesnt moan. Infact he talks about working harder while on loan so he can come back and try and get a place in the first team. Lukaku on the other hand just bitches and moans and doesnt want to fight for a place in the first team. Good luck Lucas!
July 23, 201410 yr Will be a shame if he never makes it here, he seems humble and a hard worker, but toward the end of last season he wasn't even being selected as a sub whilst on loan. Not a good sign. If a team came in and made an offer for him, I think we should take it. And if he goes, he has nothing but my well wishes
July 23, 201410 yr Barring his under par performances in the recent friendlies, I think this lad is very talented, has the potential to develop further and succeed; he will come good with the right support.
July 23, 201410 yr The coach of Vitesse, where he was on loan last year, said his mentality was not right. In addition I think he just hasn't enough talent to make it for Chelsea's first team, so I would not mind if Chelsea sold him. Edited July 23, 201410 yr by Noverca
July 24, 201410 yr He's a kid for goodness sake! And if you are a kid of 19 years old you don't have to behave yourself when you are on loan?
July 25, 201410 yr I wonder how many people have seen him play regularly to give an opinion. I wish him luck.
September 28, 201410 yr Just scored a breathtaking free kick. Last minute winner. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/watch-lucas-piazon-scores-unbelievable-173151059.html
September 28, 201410 yr Just scored a breathtaking free kick. Last minute winner. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/watch-lucas-piazon-scores-unbelievable-173151059.html What a strike. I really like piazon, hope he gets a chance in the first team.
September 28, 201410 yr Awesome goal. Sadly I think Piazon will end up as another FFP cash-cow, but the kid's clearly talented. We're stacked in the AM positions at the moment. Edited September 28, 201410 yr by Celery1989
