March 12, 20188 yr Big joke this player, he doesn't take his place in the Celtic's starting, but his complaining of his situation at Chelsea lol

Bit of pace, few tricks and f**k all else. Sell him and see who's willing to overpay for him. And Harry Kane was struggling to get into Leicester and Norwich team at a similar age to Musonda is now. Look at Kane now, your kind of reaction to Musonda early loan spell at Celtic is what happened to De Bruyne and Salah when with us. Give him time.

Yes, we have a culture here of writing off players before giving them a chance to improve. Would love us to have a "B" team playing in the championship, like in Spain, so we could develop all our youth in house. Oh we can dream!

Salah and De Brueyne looked a whole lot better than Musonda when they were younger. 22 in October, might have already played his best football. He'll be nowhere in 5 years. De Brueyne looked a assured in his first Chelsea start and Salah never looked out of place when he came on. Bad decisions were made we all know that. Musonda is Musonda. Yeah that well taking goal. Similiar to his many finishes at Liverpool. Kalas who could be in the PL next year with Fulham. Certainly has found his level.
March 14, 20188 yr Musonda will never be at the level of a De Bruyne or the level Salah is playing at now. You can quote me on that. He might make a decent career for himself, but he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.
March 14, 20188 yr A lot of ignorane on display here. Believe it or not, there's actually quite a lot of competition for places at Celtic, particularly in the position Masunda plays. Celtic might not be able to compete at the top level of European football the way they used to (those with memories before the birth of the premiership might remember this), but they still have a squad of experienced international footballers used to playing in front of 60000 people. It's obnoxious to write a 21 year old kid off, because he didn't walk into a dressing room full of experienced players, who have just won a domestic treble and gone through a season undefeated, and instantly become the top dog. He wasn't "dropped" for Zenit or Rangers; he has just not established himself as a first pick in the team yet. Time will tell if he is good enough for Celtic; time will tell if he is good enough for a team pushing for Champions League glory. However, people who understand football, will understand that it is still very early days for Charly Musonda at Celtic and will be reading very little into how things have gone for him so far.
March 15, 20188 yr Has a bit of the pogba attitude about him doesnt he? Big Time Charly seems appropriate
March 15, 20188 yr To be honest,I reckon he will probably take a couple of months to adjust or settle in to Scottish football. He has got 18 months with Celtic to make it happen. Scottish football is different to what he would be used to at Chelsea. Edited March 15, 20188 yr by erskblue

Citing Kane as an example is akin to saying managers should get time because of Ferguson. If Musonda wasn't our player there would be breakdowns of Papy level proportions if his name was even connected to us in anyway, yet because he's on loan he's this supposed class player in waiting. Also re Salah and KDB, if they went to Celtic at 21, would they have been unused subs in an Old Firm derby? I think we both know the answer to that.

Musonda just needs game and expereince. Its not like im saying every young player we have out on loan i think is going to be a star, I was never hot on Bamford or Solanke and Abraham like alot of people were and are.

If they were at the same stage as Musonda in their careers, and had come to a Celtic team that had just won a treble and there were other tried and tested players competing for the same spot in the team, it's quite probable they wouldn't have featured in such a big game, having only been at the club for six weeks. I'm not saying the kid will be a star at Celtic never mind chelsea or a top five english club, but to write him off on the basis of his first six weeks at Celtic is daft. I know it's hard for you lot to see through your contempt for the scottish league, but the pressures and expectation placed on Celtic players is akin to any top English club. He has to earn his place in the team. From a Celtic point of view, we are still excited about him and have no concerns at all about the fact he hasn't been an instant sensation. Let's see where he's at by the end of the season.

I don't doubt his talent, it's his attitude and overall impacts on game's i question, literally similar to Kakuta. And that line about 'class player in waiting' wasn't aimed at you just a general observation and it's funny you mention Bamford because a couple of years ago there was widespread calls to hand him chances. 17 minutes ago, Big Frank said: If they were at the same stage as Musonda in their careers, and had come to a Celtic team that had just won a treble and there were other tried and tested players competing for the same spot in the team, it's quite probable they wouldn't have featured in such a big game, having only been at the club for six weeks. At 21 KDB had a Bundesliga side built around him while Salah was performing consistenly in the CL. I know there's a lot of pressure at Celtic (I have actually defended you against people putting down your treble) and im not writing him off based on that, it's a culmination of what i have seen since he's arrived.

Did you really mean that you think it's OK to have an opinion about something of which you have no knowledge? Do you think that an opinion expressed about a subject of which you know nothing has any merit or value at all? Do you really think I shouldn't be sniggering about that?
