January 1, 201511 yr Any Chelsea fan that doesn't love or respect Frank for what he has done for us is not a proper Chelsea fan. He has moved on and although his goals for City is affecting the current title race we will never forget the silverware that he helped bring to our club. This bugs the hell out of me, this 'not a proper Chelsea fan' pish, and as usual it comes from the usual suspects on this forum. Who are you to tell people they're not a real fan? Everyone views loyalty differently, personally don't agree with cheating on your missus but know many guys who don't think twice. Personally don't have a major issue with Frank although I am disappointed, but I am sick of people on this forum thinking they're uber fans and can judge others. This was directed completely at you mate, I just noticed you used the line I can't stand.

January 1, 201511 yr At least the SFL fan boys will be happy. Should be easy to spot at the Chels v City game in there Lampard shirt singing the super SFL song. They may cheer the City winner as well. Supported Chelsea since 2012? Forgotten everthing Lamps did for us? I'll sing that song proudly.
January 1, 201511 yr More than Lampard scoring it irks me that various "pundits" think we were mad to let him go, but he wanted 150k a week...Good luck to him for going where the money is, its a short career and if City do win the title it will be about more than Lampard..!
January 1, 201511 yr It's a dark day for us, has to be said. But I think we will come back stronger from this. I think the scoreline was harsh for Chelsea but when I'm thinking about it now, we just weren't good enough, didn't show up, and Spurs rightly so scored that amount. Vertonghens dive was f**king shocking though, how that wasn't even mentioned is just ridiculous, it was pathetic, he is known for his play acting but nothing will be said about it of course. Anyway wakeup call, call it an off day but we have evidently shown that we certainly aren't invcincible by any stretch of the imagination. I believe our depth hurt us today, no replacements for Cahill besides a young Kurt Zouma (who tbf probably could have done better) No real player to show up besides Hazard either. Salah doesn't seem cut out for it, but cut him some slack, I think it is the likes of Willian and Oscar who don't produce enough. Oscar in attack was decent today yes but if you look at his performance you'll notice how much of a sloppy player he can be, for example couldn't even play a normal pass to Hazard on the edge of the box, what sort of attacking player can't pull that out? Especially a very highly rated one. We aren't as good as some people think when it comes to the attack. Our goals are highly relied on Hazard, Fabregas and the striker of course. With Matic making his contributions too. Perhaps we do need an upgrade in attack, or perhaps this is just one game? But coming to think of it is this just one game? Or has this been the story of the season just that we have managed to pull out a lot of wins.
January 1, 201511 yr At least we don't need to worry about the ACON this year. City will be losing Yaya which is going to be a big blow for them

Ya, funny no one mentioned that LOL
January 1, 201511 yr gerrard's leaving liverpool. Probably to the MLS. Yeah he'll probably go abroad so he can slip away quietly.
January 1, 201511 yr It's annoying because had that of been a Chelsea player you know that would have been the talking point of the game. Despite it being an 8 goal game that would have been on the analysis on the game. Call us paranoid but it's ridiculous the treatment we get off the media, barely any credit goes our way, we play good football nothing really gets said about it, they like the 'negative tactics' label, just lazy journalism. And this diving makes a great story because we are first in the league and they just want to say the word 'CHEAT' because it's so controversial and makes good story. Pathetic how nothing has been said for his theatrical dive, one of the worst dives I've seen so far this season.
January 1, 201511 yr Yeah he'll probably go abroad so he can slip away quietly. He will go to New York and then City will get him on loan, just like Lampard...
January 1, 201511 yr Wouldn't surprise me if Gerrard joined the other ex-Liverpool players at the BBC or Sky.
January 1, 201511 yr He will go to New York and then City will get him on loan, just like Lampard... I have no idea what Gerrard will do, I just wanted to say slip
January 1, 201511 yr When Gerrard's career stats are complete, I hope someone puts a huge * by his 'goals scored' total to indicate that they are mainly effing penalties.
January 1, 201511 yr He will go to New York and then City will get him on loan, just like Lampard... Exactly my thoughts, he will be Cities ace in the hole next season just as Lamps is now.
January 1, 201511 yr Oh there you are Spud, congrats on today's result bud, heck of a game, great viewing, awful defending by both sides. Could have been 7-7.
January 1, 201511 yr Oh there you are Spud, congrats on today's result bud, heck of a game, great viewing, awful defending by both sides. Could have been 7-7. Cheers. That's gracious of you. The defending was poor by both teams; we rode our luck at times in defence. The media are going overboard about our improvement and what it might mean for the rest of the season; it's one game. No complaints from me about the outcome but a sense of perspective in the media would be welcome :-)
January 2, 201511 yr The annoying thing is City will spank you 5-0 i expect. Nah. We're getting better. It might be only 4-0...
January 2, 201511 yr Just got in, The positives for us of today's result for Chelsea is it may knock confidence for 4/5 games and therefore you might get held away to Swansea in 2 weeks or worse and or drop the odd point away from home, I don't think Newcastle will be able to do anything at the Bridge, Low confidence or not. The negatives for us is this type of defeat can really wake a team up, The other factor which is negative for City is the invincibility tag which the media placed on Chelsea early on in the season has well and truly been removed, What does that achieve? Whenever Chelsea go away from home now the odds of teams putting 11 men behind the ball will now probably disappear. Teams will want to have a go at you and that is how you win away games comfortably like City and Liverpool were doing last year, Why have teams been putting 11 men behind the ball against you lot? because they almost waved the white flag to winning the game and thought since Chelsea's defence is so good, We will attempt to play for the 0-0 or the fluky 1-0, Now that teams have a go at you because of this result, Prepare to have to win some games 4-2, 3-2 or 4-3 away from home, Much like City, Liverpool did last year and United had to in Fergie's last year, The days of rocking up away from home and thinking you will get a simple 2-0 are over, This is what makes our league so great. Regarding the title, I honestly don't know who has the edge, The bookies still have you as clear favourites which Is worrying considering we're dead level, Maybe in a way of making up to the NYCFC franchise for the Lampard situation, We can allow them to host the title play off decider between us at the Yankee stadium? It could be one of those squeaky bum time type of title run in's.

It could be one of those squeaky bum time type of title run in's. I see you've got all your confidence back then? I don't change my opinion that much so I'm still going with what I said at the start of the season, Chelsea winning the league, I knew it was going to be a tight race anyway, we aren't going to walk the league. However you have some hard games still to play, the only bogey ground we got is Villa park, and I want revenge there for last season, after Foy mucked up that game, I fully expect us to go there and win. But besides that we have Arsenal away and then we play all the top sides at home, which for me seems fitting for us. This game was a massive wake up call that we are not invincible by any means, we have to go out now and actually start playing some football, I want to see a bit more attack for a change. I really hope teams do start coming at us now. May the best team win.
January 2, 201511 yr Slawth, How do you think Mourinho will view this loss? Brush it off as one of those games? or think about buying re-enforcements so that he can rotate the squad without altering the performance levels of his team? Which is why I think he has stuck to playing his strongest side game in, game out. Schneiderlin, Moussa Sissoko, William Carvalho and Khedira could be on the market in January, Would he look to bring any of those in to help ease the load on Matic ? Who had his worst game of the season today by far. The final question I have for you and other posters on here is, Does Oscar deliver the goods consistently enough for you lot? When people say who are Chelsea's 4/5 best players, You immediately say Courtois, Terry, Matic, Fabregas, Hazard and Costa, Then you get Ivanovic and Azpilicueta who are also performing on high levels with Willian being the work horse, Where does that leave Oscar's status at the club? or would you look to buy a player in a similar position who can keep some pressure on him to make him perform more consistently?

You can never tell with Oscar, it's a tricky situation at times he seems to help the team play well, he makes the game flow. But when you look at what he's done on paper, it's not impressive at all, especially compared to top players in his position. Willian is the same, I've just had a huge debate about Willian earlier so I don't want to say too much but basically I don't think he's doing enough for the team, not enough goals come from that side, goals as in goals and assists and just good play in general besides Ivanovic. I doubt we will sign anyone this month to be honest, but I definitely want a player who can play next to Matic, replace Obi if that's what it takes. I am not so keen on Fabregas playing there, especially him being our best option. Fabregas is easily a key player but I think he's best off behind the striker, sure you don't get that work rate like you do with Oscar but that's the whole point of rotation. Today was unfortunate, Spurs finished almost every chance they had in the first 60 minutes, it was a very unusual game and our defenders were having absolute shockers. I believe it is one of those days but I believe we do have some issues in the side that need addressing, not replacements just some adjustments, I can't remember champions that lose games like this by such a dreadful scoreline and go out and win the title? Can you?
