October 24, 201411 yr Balotelli could be off loaded in January. Who in their right mind would buy him?
October 24, 201411 yr Brenda is saying to Carlo; "I'm pleased to meet a manager who knows how to play the game and understands tactics." In the picture on the left, Brenda looks la bit like the late, great Marty Feldman. But with none of his talent.
October 24, 201411 yr Balotelli could be off loaded in January. Who in their right mind would buy him? MLS or some far east side.
October 24, 201411 yr It was very close for them. A lot of attention focuses on the Gerrard slip. I tend to think that, with Suarez playing the first 10 games of the season he missed, they would have won the league and, this season, pushed on thanks to the likely extra investment, sponsorship, etc enabling them to buy better players. Suarez's actions cost them the lot. I don't agree there tbh Spud, they won all but 1 of their ganes whilst he was out, plus I think the extra rest enabled him to be fitter towards the end of the season.

They lost the title because they couldn't cope with the demands of being the top dogs and the pressure to stay there...look at how they collapsed at Palace. Edited October 24, 201411 yr by RFC_CFC
October 24, 201411 yr Pictured! Luis Suarez undergoing a fitness test ahead of possible Barcelona debut v Real Madrid #ElClasico LOL

They lost the title because they couldn't cope with the demands of being the top dogs and the pressure to stay there...look at how they collapsed at Palace. Fair points both. On reflection i may have overstated the point. Suarez being present from the first game may have helped their GD but that's a tenuous argument in a way.

October 24, 201411 yr I honestly have never known a player to escape so much cricism than Steven Gerrard, he has been sh*te for ages now yet no one ever comments on his performances. Can't agree with the defence are good though, Lovren is reckless, he just charges at you, he's not so different from Sakho and Skrtel no excuses for him he was terrible against Real Madrid, you are marking against possibly the best player in the world and you don't even throw yourself in front of the ball or anything? You just jog next to him?
October 24, 201411 yr Haha it gets better: BALOTELLI TROUBLE Police are investigating Mario Balotelli after a complaint was made of threatening behaviour by a woman in Manchester. I initially read this as the woman behaved threateningly, and thought they're taking this shirt swapping thing way too seriously :-)
October 24, 201411 yr Just been reading through redcafe for a change, and seen a quality post on the RAWK meltdown thread thought I would share it. "If we could combine Rafa's defending knowledge with Brendans attacking tactics we would win the league for many years"This. This is just classic fcking liverpool fan overreaching, deluded sh*te! Everything is always so exaggerated with them it's hilarious e.g. henchoz and hyypia although a good defensive pairing were immediately the 'best in europe' according to liverpool fans. Gerrard Mascherano and Alonso, albeit a good midfield 3 were again immediately the 'best in europe'. And this knobhead fan, not content with his silly little hybrid theory of Rodgers and Benitez immediately suggests that it would not only win them A league but instead dominate for many years. This Liverpool fans. This is why you are a bunch of twats. Your pathetic attempts to elevate your faded club with this grandiose statements. You just couldn't really put it any better could you, quality.
October 24, 201411 yr Bet that chelsea rentboy liverpool fan feels like a right tit now. That's a decent couple of posts you've made this afternoon, I'll be watching you with interest.

Lovern was solid for Southampton just last season and continues to be for his national team, Sakho is consistently one of France's best defenders and Skrtel was part of one of the strongest defences in the league before Rodgers arrived. I refuse to believe they have all turned sh*t overnight.

October 24, 201411 yr I'll take your word for it, as I will with James Rodriguez and Mesut Ozil. What did I say about them?
October 24, 201411 yr Entirely agree. These defenders would do very well in our team.If you watched Skrtel week in week out I doubt you'd be so keen on him. At times he looks rock solid, but he's very inconsistent, and a blooper is always just around the corner. I think Lovren will come good but needs to be along side someone better than Skrtel, and definitely not Sakho.Think our overall defensive line is weakened by the inability of Mignolet to command his area. Also think we're badly missing Flanagan this year. The sooner he's back the better. Other than that things are great at the back. Edited October 24, 201411 yr by Mr Pink

October 24, 201411 yr Apparently palace are subject of £100m takeover by an American billionaire...wonder how quickly their fans apply tippex to their poxy banner Ha ha yeah, when the shoe is on the other foot. Those that complain of our fortune are just jealous, what they fail to admit to is ut takes a lot more than simple money to make a good team. You need to buy the right players, ge the right coach etc, is about building something. Edited October 24, 201411 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
October 24, 201411 yr But the funny thing is American owners are into all that money ball type of spending i.e. we keep the profits and brainwash our fan base that spending big is plastic and not good for long term success (Which is nothing but gobbledygooga). So Palace fans be prepared for £10 million bids on players from Rayo Vallecano, Toulouse, Sampdoria and FSV Mainz, Whilst us and Chelsea make bids for Ross Barkley, Marco Reus and Isco, We've ruined the game and are loving it, Get over it.
October 25, 201411 yr Best thing we did was not approach Balotelli in the off season. There were some Chelsea fans saying we should go for him last season but I laughed my head off considering the guy is a loose cannon and uncontrollable. When Jose couldn't control him at Inter, what hope do you have with this guy? He's talented when he's playing well but he's nutcase who causes more destruction in the dressing room than most are willing to admit.

I said in the summer that I hoped we would stay clear of him, obviously talented but that is of no consequence if he has a stinking attitude.
October 25, 201411 yr West Ham v Man City looks tasty today. West Ham (to give them credit) are looking good and they are at home too. They should give City a good, tough, game.
October 25, 201411 yr They better not bend over for city. We need open up this gap between them and us. Come on allardyce, 19th century football FTW.
