“I’d be surprised to see him here next season. It was just a panic; they needed someone. They left it too late. A lot of the players have come in and done a decent job here and there, but nobody’s really done anything. They bring in Balotelli late on – it’s obviously a panic.”
Jamie Redknapp, also part of Sky’s coverage, questioned why Liverpool had signed Balotelli in the first place. “I don’t blame Mario Balotelli – I blame Brendan Rodgers for bringing him here. How he thought he could turn around a player that Mourinho, Mancini, Prandelli have all washed their hands of …
“There’s a reason when you go to the supermarket and things are half price. Why on earth they went for him, I’ll never know. They should have just left him alone. The fact he [Rodgers] went and got him, it just doesn’t make any sense to me.”
Jamie turning on Brenda ?

No its better if only one of them does Europa League football would make it very difficult for Liverpool to finish the season well

Ideally pool and Citeh get Europa.

I think Liverpool will still get through to last 16 though...be funny right enough to see them get battered again.

Neil Warnock: FA charge Crystal Palace boss with misconduct

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has been charged with misconduct for comments he made following the defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.

Warnock said that referee Craig Pawson was "influenced" by Chelsea players during the Blues' 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.

The Football Association said in a statement that Warnock had "implied the match referee was motivated by bias".

The 65-year-old has until 18:00 BST on Monday to respond to the charge.

10 games in and and 1 goal later and there's already talk of Balotelli's Liverpool career being over before it really began.

If true shocking decision by Rogers to sign him as Suarez's replacement... Perhaps Rogers ego is bigger than that of Mario's if he really thought he could succeed where Mourinho, Mancini and Prandelli have failed, in being able to get Balotelli settled, motivated and playing consistently.

Making for brilliant viewing from the outside.

Liverpool are mad that we're the ones saving England's blushes in Europe every season. If we had to rely on them in Europe, our country would have to go into hiding.

You know what, I want to see Liverpool go through, draw Barcelona and watch Suarez score a hat trick at the Kop end, the bunch of inbred pr*cks! "Had to be f**king suarez didn't it, the c*nt!" in their screechy, irritating scouse accents.

Balotelli's problem is that he doesn't understand the history, honor, dignity and prestige associated with Liverpool Football Club, otherwise he'd be banging them in.

Another great article from Ronay at the Guardian.

Best line, explaining why Balotelli was subbed: “We needed a wee bit more movement centrally,” Rodgers explained afterwards, with killing understatement. It was a case of managerial euthanasia.

Did you see Ian Rush's comments? lol

“The Liverpool fans are very knowledgeable, and you just don’t do that,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “I’m sure Brendan Rodgers will have a word with him behind closed doors.

“He still has a future at Liverpool. The fans are some of the most patient, but he has to realise he’s playing at Liverpool Football Club, not just any other club.

“He’s got to show his commitment to the club by proving it on the pitch.”

HILARIOUS!

Why do scousers think their small club is different from every other club and the fans know more and demand more than everyone else?

It's utter cringe

Sporting have lodged an official complaint with UEFA to either have their game vs Schalke replayed, or for the match to be counted as a draw, because of an incorrect injury time penalty decision that won Schalke the game 4-3.

Never heard of a club doing that before, can't see it being successful but would be interesting.

Meh it's annoying but that's part of football.

So many games could have been replayed if that went ahead like our game versus the dipper and that goal.

Balotelli's problem is that he doesn't understand the history, honor, dignity and prestige associated with Liverpool Football Club, otherwise he'd be banging them in.

We all totally understand and support that, why can't Balotelli?

Yes, this seems to have been completely lost in this thread.

That picture shows just how moronic some of them area Scott. He has made a complete tit of himself.

Balotelli is proving to be unreliable and ill-disciplined? Who could possibly have seen that coming...?

This is so true. I know others have said it elsewhere in this thread, and I believe even Jamie Carragher might have said it after the game (or Maybe it was Redknaap), but it shows the ego Brendan really has.

Didn't he, Rodgers, make a statement about "putting his arm around Balotelli" and making him part of the team at the start of the season? I seem to recall something whereby Brendan made it sound like his loving touch was all that was needed to save Mario

Balotelli's problem is that he doesn't understand the history, honor, dignity and prestige associated with Liverpool Football Club, otherwise he'd be banging them in.

You've got a 'house' of Liverpool Bingo words there, fitting impressively into a single paragraph.
