Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

You could argue Liverpool have been more competitive rivals for Chelsea when Jose's been in charge.

Im not at all implying United will be title challengers next season if (when) they get top 4 this season

But they will be more than Arsenal

Sezze786, You cant actually believe that Arsenal don't try to win the league? Lol

Is it their fault they are so incompetent that they can't?? Put a manager who actually has a clue and I guarantee you they will challenge for the title year in year out, They have the platform.

And yes Wenger out but players screwed more than manager today imo.

The thing is i can't see them getting a new manager until he retires

I also get the feeling he will have a board role when he does retire and will be calling a lot of shots

I agree he has to go if Arsenal were to be better and if he does, I could maybe call them title challengers depending on who they get buy etc

I personally have nothing against United

They're a good team to be battling it out with for the title and will be nothing more than title rivals

Also, would be fun to have competition for the title, this season is turning out to be a joke

United don't have a chance at winning the title or even put in a challenge for it

I would love it if we beat everyone to the title by loads of points. It would make it even better knowing we are so much better than the rest.

Man I just realized that Newcastle are even w/ manure on points. IMHO they are playing on all cyclinders. That match @ St. James in a couple of weeks could be a match between Title Contenders. Damn those barcodes.

I was trying to imply that they have a better chanceat challenging than Arsenal (especially with the way they're splashing the cash)

I disagree with your second point but that just comes down to opinion

I get a better satisfaction when we beat the teams that look strong and are playing well, not win the title by x amount of points just for the glory

I don't really understand laughing at Arsenal on this occasion. It's like laughing at the French being invaded by the Germans. It's United that we should be worried about. They will finish third this season and be back in the CL and spend another 150 next summer - probably with the emphasis on defensive players. They'll probably win the Premier League next season and normal PL service will be resumed. I truly dared to dream that United would suffer a Liverpool-esque period of post domination ineptitude but alas, it will only be a dream.

Winning against Arsenal doesn't prove much, they are still in a bit of a mess right now and there is no guarantee of them getting a top 4 finish. I think they might just sneak it but it's not a sure thing, and spending money doesn't just guarantee you league titles. It's who you spend the money on and from what i have seen of Van Gaal so far it doesn't look like he can spot a decent defender and without defenders they won't be winning Premier League titles any time soon.

LMAO!

Please tell me Claude is gonna be on tonight, I can't wait, only thing is we wont hear another I DON'T CARE IF THE BUS LEAVES ME HERE line.

We haven't won the title for too long, I'll take it in any fashion. Unless the PL becomes a one horse race for a long time I'll always enjoy winning it. Maybe I'll enjoy it even if it was too

Sezze786, I agree with Scott on this one, When you win a title by a big margin at the end of the season you can do a pull your trousers down and give it a twirl gesture to the rest of the league, If you win it by a close margin, It's relief more than happiness, and as a City fan I am speaking from personal experience, We haven't had a title win by a comfortable margin like you boys and I crave that type of dominance.

Good old specialist in failure, can't even get points against an injury ridden crap utd team. He just never learns from anything.

ArsenalFanTV ?@arsenalfantv

We know many of you are waiting for all the fan reaction to that terrible result. Videos will be up later tonight.

Regarding the Arsenal fan tv videos, If the game has finished around 7.30, It probably takes about an hour to record the cry babies and then another hour or two editing the cry babies, So grab your beer or make your cuppa for around half 10 in my opinion.

10:30?!! I'll be in bed by then. I think i will have to make it a breakfast treat. I was going to have pancakes or croissants, but a bit of Arsenal fan TV will cure my sweet tooth i am sure.

The Premier League has been back for 1 day and it was far more enjoyable than the international break. International football is so dead right now.

I really hate international football aside from summer tournaments. Last weekend was so bad, I just spent my time locked in a library besides watching american football/hockey. An excellent weekend it's been so far.

It's been very enjoyable watching arsenal do sh*t again after they gave it large last season when they won the fa cup and had the audacity to say who the specialist in failure was now given Jose hadn't Won any silverware...fact we nearly won title and reached cl final without a striker should have been a worry not cause for gloating...Jose is showing once again this season how he is in a differ et league as a manager compared to whinger

I would welcome United back.

Proper Football Club who deserve to be at the top fighting for titles. We need them for our league co-efficient too. Do you honestly think City / Arse / Liverscum are going to be dominating Europe in the near future? Battling it out with them for the title is much more satisfying than City or Liverpool.

I'll be slaughter for this, but our league needs Manchester United competing for titles. They're the biggest club in the country by a mile

For the foreseeable future anyway.

Arsenal have a dreadful big game record don't they.

How funny it was that they were celebrating a draw against City at home, idiots.

I wouldn't. A team and bunch of fans summed up by their smug motto "not arrogant, just better". I can think of what they deserve and challenging for titles is not what comes to mind.

Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham, Arsenal are FAR worse.

Man United fans are generally Ok
