I never quite knew what to make of Yakubu - he'd be absolutely magnificent for half a season, score a hat trick against Man Utd, then would regress to Akinbiyi levels of incompetence for the other half. I guess it's not entirely dissimilar to Adebayor's form over the years.

 

Mellberg is a brilliant idea though, he was a magnificent defender.

 

What about Dion Dublin in his Coventry and Villa days, I think he averaged a goal every 3 games roughly for those two clubs? 

My GK would have to be Jääskeläinen, stayed with Bolton for years and always thought he was a really solid keeper.

 

The premier league has been full of underrated goalkeepers down the years. I honestly don't think there is another league out there that has had so many great goalkeepers like the Premier League has had. In my opinion every single Premier League team has a very good goalkeeper in their side this season, some teams even have 2 great goalkeepers.

A very good team. I feel like all these players are under appreciated and undeservedly are perceived to be worse than inferior players of their time.

I think Utd will win - they look well set up. I hope I'm wrong as a Utd exit would be great.
