Classic Phil Dowd match. Books a player and then every subsequent foul after that is also a yellow.

Unless of course a red is due! haha

But he didn't react until late due to Rooney being so close to the flight of the ball. Keeper would have saved it with ease if Rooney wasnt their.

That is the goalkeepers problem in my opinion. Rooney wasn't even blocking the keepers sight, he could have still easily have made the save.

Its not the blocking that's the problem, the keeper hesitated due to Rooney being their, so he is blatantly interfering with play. By the rules its a Goal, but the rules are ridiculous.

I don't think Rooney made a difference to that goal. With the speed of the shot, the keeper had plenty of time to see it.

My opinion is that it was offside. If the ball had been blasted into the net and Rooney did not move, fine. But as he had to move out of the way of the ball then surely he has interfered. Had Rooney not been in that position then the goalkeeper could have made an attempt for the save, as it was he had to assume that rooney would shoot so had to be in a position to react to that.

A goal was disallowed v Arsenal because Alex Song was in an identical position to Rooney.

Regardless of the score this is the worst United side I've seen for a long f**king time.

The problem was never David Moyes, I said that all throughout last season and stand by it.

Lineker is over enthusiastic in front of Roy, it's like he's meeting his father in law. And Dyke seems like he's going senile.

No personal disrespect intended  to Hodgson or Dyke, but they are both 67 years old and hardly the future of English football. Before anyone accuses me of ageism, I'm 60 and feeling it !
