So we've gone from looking at City's results to Arsenal's now... Haven't done that in 10 years. Not sure what games they've got left but suffice day of course our game there is huge. I'll be nervous of course but appreiciate the position we're in, not felt this way in 5 years.

WIth the current standings in the Premier League table, i see no reason to look at other teams results because we have everything in our own hands. 7 points with a game in hand. If we win the games we should win (Leicester, QPR, Sunderland, ...) we can even lose our games against Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool and still be champions.

If they drop points it makes that 'magic number' smaller so we know how many victories we need to win the league. For that reason I still think the majority of us will look out for our rival's results.

If we win our next four am I right in thinking that the title will even be mathematically over then as Arsenal are closet to us?

I think City would have to drop points somewhere in those 4 games.

Arsenal have been the big worry for the last month for me. They're bang in form and their results are title-winning since the turn of the year whereas us and City have faltered to varying degrees.

The good thing is that they have a FA Cup tie in a couple of weekends so we can't lose too much ground if we drop points before we meet them, and could potentially extend the lead over them.

That to me is a classic Jose away game against a big team, where the aim is simply not to lose.

They have to go to Old Trafford.

Should be a tough one for them.

I'm unsure over the goons.

On one hand they are the in form team in the league and look to be in full throttle so I don't see them losing much points. Then again we know what happens to Arsenal once they are under pressure to win....

They aint been in this position for a number of years now and who knows how it will affect them. Last season we kind of fell away when the pressure of winning the title was in our hands.

I dearly hope we win next 3 and get the title at Emirates... (well not mathematically at least.. but it would be very well won).

The most points Arsenal can get is 84 now isn't it? So we need 15 points from our last 8 games.

Wait a minute....if we beat Arsenal and United then the most points they could get would be 81 and 80 respectively so the very earliest we could win it would be away to Leicester on the 29th of April.

Or is that wrong?

Arsenal are in decent form but liverpool pretty much bent over and said have a go. Brendan "no tactical nouse" rogers Played his 3 at the back again with wing backs and they got destroyed in midfield. There was zero midfield battle, Arsenal just did as they pleased.  Again Rogers proving he has no adaptability.

I'd be very shocked if we go there and don't pack the center of the park. They won't have any where near as much room against us.

Also should mention that Arsenal haven't been playing with the preshure of a title win until now. Lets see how they do now they are only looking up  at us and the chance of winning the thing is real. It's not as easy as going out there and playing your normal game

Problem is Arsenal have been in great form for a while now and there have been some impressive results in there, mainly against the trickier sides like Newcastle away, Palace away, City away etc. that we tend to worry about.

What Wenger has shown is an ability to put aside his old tactics and actually be a bit more pragmatic in the way he approaches tough games.....very Jose in fact. Whether that's a new plan or simply a temporary thing is up for debate, and whether it will have an impact on the title is also yet to be seen but it is definitely something to think about going into next season.

if we beat QPR, Man Utd, Arsenal and Leicester and City also win their 3 games in that period we would be 12 points ahead of them with 12 points to play for, a draw against Palace would win the title

Has anyone seen anything written about the City fans chucking coins at Puncheon? I can't find anything about it in the match reports across the usual platforms, surprise surprise.

Thanks, hoping Burnley do us a favour this weekend and that United/City is a draw.

So whatever happened to that Mr Sky Blue or whatever his name was.

Obviously nowhere to be seen once again, just like B.J. always coming on here bigging his team up, he hasn't been here since City went into a blunder and we got about 5 points ahead. Then he came back at the end of the year when we were on level points and goal difference... figures.

I'm surprised nothing has been brought up about Sagna yet, he joined City then slagged Arsenal off saying he has went there to finally win some trophies at the end of his career and Arsenal are above them and Sagna is on the verge of winning f**k all.

Also I think it's time for Nasri to now say that he doesn't think Chelsea AND Arsenal and United are that special.

Wasn't BJ a united fan?

Yep, that's what I mean by coming on here and hyping his team up. B.J. was on here at the start of the season constantly talking about United can spend the most in the league and are financially secure and will be champion material under Van Gaal. Then he dissapeared and as soon as United were in talks of perhaps being in the title race when they were winning games while playing sh*t like at Arsenal and Southampton he came back on going on about don't write us off we still have just as good of a chance as you or City.

Worrying times for City fans. Whilst the spine of their team is exceptionally talented, it’s ageing quickly and they just don’t seem to have the same hunger any more IMO. Add to that a tactically clueless manager who can’t motivate the players, and a squad which, actually, isn’t really all that good, and you’ve got serious problems. I think their biggest problem has been the inability to find players that can adequately replace the likes of Aguero, Toure, Kompany, Silva etc when they are injured. If you look at their record in the transfer market in recent seasons it’s really poor, untold millions waste on players like Mangala, Garcia, Navas, Jovetic etc. who just aren’t up to it. And they barely ever seem to have all their top players fit at the same time. Huge Summer ahead of City as a club.

I think (as someone not wanting the Gooners to prosper) that Arsenal's run in is worryingly benign:

Burnley - A

Chelsea - H

Hull - A

Swansea - H

Man Utd - A

Sunderland - H

WBA - H

As City showed last night, nothing is certain but I'd be ok with that run in if I was Wenger. Two home games as the last games of the league too.
