I only dive in and out of here from time to time so I may have missed this being discussed already, but what the hell has Remy done to be kept at the club yet not have a cat in hell's chance of kicking a ball? Costa looks next to useless at the moment and Falcao is, well he's post ACL Falcao. Remy may not be one of the great strikers of his generation but his record for us in his rare appearances has been pretty good and at least he has pace. I know who I'd prefer to have seen brought on between him and Falcao at Everton.

If I was him I'd ask for a transfer in January. He's far too good to be rotting on our bench and doesn't deserve to be behind falcao. Especially when our main striker is now more interested in picking fighto than scoring.

At first, he did, yes.

Feeling bad for him, he deserves much more than sitting on the bench and not playing.

I think it is ridiculous to be honest, i don't know what he has done so wrong that it has made Mourinho pick Falcao over him. He'll go in January if this continues, he will want to go to the Euro's.

Given his past fitness/injury problems, maybe Jose's thinking is save him for the second half of the season? (he's already been seemingly replaced in the France squad by Martial)

I said it last season that Mourinho doesn't rate him prob wasn't his signing either. We are going to lose him in January which will be a shame and we will struggle to find a backup striker as good as him.

Another case of Jose being a stubborn A*. Remy always performed when given a start last season, even Jose admitted that. 5 matches in, not even a minute while the other 2 strikers had 2 goals in between them, absolutely ridiculous!

I wouldn't mind us going 2 upfront in certain games. Costa Remy might form a decent little partnership.

that's only fair on Remy though if he's playing as a striker and not a winger, Jose never plays two strikers as strikers.

We need the stability in central midfield which isn't there at the minute. Look at Juve today 2 strikers but so much solidarity within it.

Since Falcao is out and Costa is at rock bottom, if Remy can't get a game tonight he will never get one with Jose in charge. Jose didn't even mention his name in the press conference, my guess is Jose didn't like his attitude and work rate in training.

He never looks particularly excited about anything on the pitch, even when he scores.

He reminds me a little of Anelka.

Quality player though, should be getting far more game time.

Luke Torres the effort and desire is there but sadly the ability is no longer.

When he starts, more often he scored. Did he play as a winger or striker tonight? He should start in the next couple of league games, but we never know, since Jose is pretty keen to bring Falcao back to form.

He's really not a winger is he? 

 

I'd start him against Newcastle on Saturday, have to pick the player that looks most likely to get you a goal.
