August 7, 201510 yr Is it me or does it feel crazy to think back to a time when we had a striker we knew would never score when 1 on 1. Now we have two I'm confident they find the net nearly every time they are through. Crazy the difference a few seasons can make! I would like to point out this was said before Falcao joined. Still think Remy is good, a two poor performances (Arsenal and Fiorentina) don't change that. Just saying....
August 23, 201510 yr Remy proven goal scorer last season w few chances given Falcao runs around a lot but looks as pants as he was under LVG at OT
August 23, 201510 yr Which is baffling when he pretty much always scores when he plays. What else does he want?.
August 23, 201510 yr Doesn't want just goals apparently. Maybe he doesn't like his hold up play/the positions he takes up/the runs he makes? Who knows? Jose works in mysterious ways...
August 23, 201510 yr Always seemed to me that the runs Remy makes require a high risk pass. His hold/link up play is as good as awful imo. He's a good poacher but that's about it for me. Edited August 23, 201510 yr by the special one
August 23, 201510 yr Falcao looks terrible3 cameo appearances, twice when we had 10men, the other when we were off the boil against a strong city team, if he was given a couple of full games(which he wont get) he would deliver
August 23, 201510 yr As much as i was against falcao signing, he has barely had a chance to do anything yet
August 23, 201510 yr I would put in a transfer request if I was in his shoes. It's quite ridiculous Jose has this side mission to bring Falcao back to form, even risking losing in a match like yesterday. Remy is faster, stronger, has a better shot, and overall a much better candidate than Falcao.
August 24, 201510 yr Anyone else got a feeling that Remy will be a deadline day mover? Like stated in this thread, Falcao is obviously second choice. He can't be happy about that.
August 24, 201510 yr The problem then would be "who do we bring in to take the 3rd spot?" I think even some of the exciting youth prospects - Bamford, Solanke, etc are all off on loan already

Someone like Charlie Austin and we've been recently offered Pato according to Jason Burt. It's a hunch but I imagine teams looking for a quality striker to keep them up this season then Remy could be that guy teams go for.
August 24, 201510 yr I don't think we will make much if anything by shipping out Remy and bringing in Austin. Were they not wanting £12-15 million

Were they not wanting £12-15 million No idea, like I said usually we have a couple of surprise movers at the end of the window. Remy fits that bill, I dont think he's featured once yet and a loan signing has come on three of the occasions. Like I said, just a hunch. A player of his quality as a 3rd choice striker will get plenty of attention when clubs start to panic buy. Edited August 24, 201510 yr by Sheva
August 24, 201510 yr If I were Wenger I'd be in for him. Then I'd jump off a cliff because I'm Wenger.

I doubt he will be on our radar. Massive gamble.
August 24, 201510 yr Pato? Not sure what went wrong with his career. I doubt he will be on our radar. Massive gamble. I think what happened was that people found out he was sh*te.
