June 19, 201511 yr You'd think given the goals he scored that Jose would fight to keep him. He game us something extra that we needed last season. The man scores goals simple as, something that Falcao no longer does. Yup. If he goes it just makes the Falcao signing look bizarre. He's playing far better football and is scoring more goals than the person who has or is coming in. He performs well in the EPL while the guy we are bringing in failed miserably last season in the same competition.
June 19, 201511 yr He will want to be playing every week because of the euros... Pretty certain remy will be leaving, have a gut feeling and it ain't good Remy could score 100 goals for us next season and he still wouldn't likely start for France at the Euros. I posted on here before that i felt Mourinho didn't rate Remy and it wasn't his signing but how can he not rate a guy who scores for us every time he got given a chance?. Especially after he had Ba,Torres and Eto'o you would think he would be grateful. I remember him praising Edin Dzeko "Speaking about Luis Suarez winning the footballer of the year award, the Portuguese boss said: "My player of the year would always be from the champions. "Manchester City need a point. I would say a City player and I would choose Dzeko. He was the third striker at the beginning of the season and when the team needed him, in crucial moments, he made the difference. He has 16 goals. Sixteen for the third striker is something spectacular. He's not just a goalscorer. He assists, he plays." This is what Remy did for us last season.
June 19, 201511 yr 15 Million is an absolute bargain for a Premier league winner and proven goal scorer
June 19, 201511 yr Cristal Palace probably won't be able to afford him now. We got him pretty cheap so it would be good business. He helped us win PL, score key goals when needed so of course his price tag will go up. But at the same time I don't think we can sell him for much more than 15 mil. I think west ham wants to sign him too.
July 2, 201511 yr "It is believed Chelsea want the insurance of knowing they have an experienced, proven back-up while Falcao [...] adapts to life at Stamford Bridge". Source: Daily Mirror
July 2, 201511 yr "It is believed Chelsea want the insurance of knowing they have an experienced, proven back-up while Falcao [...] adapts to life at Stamford Bridge". Source: Daily Mirror Well Jose isn't an idiot, I would hope.
July 2, 201511 yr That's for sure. I think he has everything planned and under control well except maybe for that Petr Cech situation. I hope he has ace in his sleeve and he will bring some great footballer before transfer windows will close.
July 2, 201511 yr He will get plenty of games if he manages to keep himself fit and available. Jose has never worked with Falcao before ( in my memory), so it's unlikely he will thrust Falcao in if Costa is not playing. Drogba/Ettot, the proven Jose's players, were completely different stories.
July 3, 201511 yr Have you guys noticed how nice club we are towards our rivals and to our old heroes? We are so confident we will do well we sell our star keeper to Arsenal and our best ever goalscorer to City. We don't mind. We could easily sell Remy to Tottenham probably.

We are so confident we will do well we sell our star keeper to Arsenal and our best ever goalscorer to City. We don't mind. We could easily sell Remy to Tottenham probably. It helps to build the clubs profile and make them a more attractive club to join. Players see that we treat players well and if things don't work out won't block a move that's good for their career. That makes those we're chasing more open to the idea of joining us, especially if they are concerned about playing time etc.
July 14, 201511 yr Daily Express reporting that he hopes to secure a move to Crystal Palace to link back up with Pardew.
July 14, 201511 yr That would be a disaster. Costa's hamstring and we have.....the artist formally known as Falcao
July 14, 201511 yr Does seem like Bertrand Traore is staying with us this season though. I bet he'd move ahead of Falcao in the pecking order fast if given the chance.
July 14, 201511 yr where are you hearing this about traore, and pretty sure he is a midfielder converted into a striker while at vitesse so no need to use him soley as a striker, though we could if needs must. i don't know why we would worry much about the visa if he was going to go out on loan again. i believe bamford and traore will stay put for next season going by the praise jose has given them both, so could well be the reason remy is leaving which, if so, i don't mind at all. July 14, 201511 yr Remy's leaving Austin's coming. It's obvious. If we were replacing him with someone like Lacazette, I would've not minded much -- but this is disappointing.
July 14, 201511 yr Remy's leaving Austin's coming. It's obvious. Makes little sense for us or Austin. Hope this doesn't happen.
July 14, 201511 yr If we were replacing him with someone like Lacazette, I would've not minded much -- but this is disappointing. another overrated striker who wouldn't play second fiddle to a team's main striker
July 15, 201511 yr I think like Cech, Remy is too good of a player to be a second striker. Every top club has a striker in this postition though. We should be the same. You have to have good players in your squad to compete, you can't just rely on your first 11 every game.
July 15, 201511 yr I reckon we need to have a more versatile option as the 2nd striker, someone who can either play on the wing or even no.10 but can also play up front when required. Someone in the Rooney/Griezman mould-That is the only way we will be able to keep a quality 2nd striker satisfied
