Welcome Loic Remy

Featured Replies

If remy leaves we will be getting a replacement. Falcao is Drogba's replacement. What makes you assume we will replace remy with anyone worse than him?

I think he would be stupid to leave. No one will pay him more than we do, no CL team will be interested in him and he is not getting into the france team ahead of Benzema, Lacazette, and Griezman regardless of what he does this year.

Sorry but all of that is complete rubbish.

Well if he leaves then Jose has f**ked up big time

Yeah, playing Drogha ahead of him was totally unacceptable. Remy has every right and reason to seek a move. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Falcao gets games ahead of him.

And this comes from someone who has won... remind us all how many trophies?

Jose (kind of like god) always has a plan. Keep calm and trust in Jose.

People keep making these kinds of posts. The fact that he has won several trophies doesn't always make him right. And no, he is not kind of like God. He has made several awful signings (SWP, Sidwell, Cuadrado, etc) and let players like KDB leave. Did he have a plan when he bough Salah too?

True, but most times he gets it right, I personally don't blame anybody for going with Jose's judgement.

The Falcao interest is absolutely baffling me however, especially if we are to offload Remy, although on the other hand I think it is more Remy wanting to leave than Jose wanting him out no matter what the reports say. Can't exactly blame him either, it's pretty clear he will always be a backup here, if Costa is fit Costa plays and even at that it was never a guarantee he would play even then.

So again, who could blame him.

I remember Jose said he felt 'he owed Remy for not playing him', not sure if that's still valid. Given Costa's hamstring and Falcao's injury record, Remy probably will get plenty of game time if he manage to keep fit himself. However it will take a lot of convincing for Remy to stay, not the ' those guys will be injured anyway' theory.

What a stupid post. Sidwell was free, Cuadrado will be a good buy, and its better that kdb left rather than sit on bench and disrupt the dressing room. But you seem too thick to understand that, so carry on.

I don't see remy going any where.

A) I think Jose plans to try and use him of the right a bit more next season to increase our goal threat

b) He would have racked up a fair old amount of time had his injuries not coincided with costa's nearly every time

You'd think given the goals he scored that Jose would fight to keep him. He game us something extra that we needed last season. The man scores goals simple as, something that Falcao no longer does.

Falcao has got stats of over a goal every two games across his career.  Like you I have my fears, but they are greatly eased by the fact that this is role of dice worth taking. (Provided Remy doesn't do one) If he doesn't come good and has truly lost it then 7 million is not the end of the world. If however last season was a blip and he starts scoring for fun again  it's  going to look like a master stroke. Either way we have costa and remy who are going to get goals

In a way I can't blame him. Now when Jose have Falcao, Remy will be probably again 3rd striker. I think he deserves more than that.

If he goes, they will probably sign Benteke.

Price for Remy is set at £15mil.

Not that I want to see him go, however given his injury record last year and if he really does want to go, i.e asks for a transfer, I think that is a fair fee given what we paid and his goal scoring last season.

Again would not want him to go.

Finding a striker that can slot in and score goals frequently is very rare these days, I very much doubt we can do any better than Remy in that regard so unless he requests to be sold I wouldn't offload him in any circumstance.

We'd be so lucky to keep him but at his age and form I don't think he should stay. Costa and Falcao both being more high profile he'd be a bit stupid to stay. Hope I'm wrong...

He will want to be playing every week because of the euros...

Pretty certain remy will be leaving, have a gut feeling and it ain't good

Worrying window so far. Our best two subs cech and remy leaving. And torres mk2 comes in.

Depends what the other additions are. If Traore actually is getting a work permit then he could be used as third striker, plus he covers that right wing.

£15 million is a good price for a player who only played about 600 league minutes, but I'd prefer he stayed.
