According to Twitter (I know), Florentina's coach has said 'Juan Cuadrado has signed for Chelsea, it's a shame but I'm happy for him, he's at a top club' - that's according to AS which I guess is a media outlet anyway.

Feels like an underwhelming signing, very similar to the Willian transfer. Hopefully he will turn out well.

He was pretty good in the WC, Him and James Rodrigez and Jackson Martinez were their best players. It's a big chance for him, if he comes with hunger in his belly that'll do me.

Even though I love Willian and he's workrate is admirable, he's conversion rate is equal to a dead cow. If we want to challenge in Europe alongside the BPL we need scoring from our starters and our bench. Selling Schürrle doesn't really fit into this plan but Cuadrado is a massive improvement on Salah, I'm not going to lash out at the people who say he's not a starter, which in my opinion he is, and with Oscar delivering some underwhelming performances this year I like the fact that Willian can play in the middle with Hazard and Cuadrado on the wings, makes us much sharper on offense.

I am basing my excitement and acknowledgment that it is likely done on the press conference from the Fiorentina manager saying it was done. I don't know why that shouldn't be taken as a virtual lock to this happening...

Don't think it would happen but I'd take Moses back to the end of the season.

Better player than Salah and more likely to make an impact if he were to play.

Our loanees always look better because they're playing regular. Bring them back here, they are stuck on the bench.

I just don't think it makes much sense. i don't think there is an agenda against Chelsea at all by the media but just because Sky Sports opinions on our teams may be/may not be negative is completely beside the point on a news story like this. This would be like distrusting the raving idiot who lives next door to you when he comes to tell you its raining outside. Just because he is an idiot who's opinions or views may suck doesn't mean he can't tell if it is raining outside. The fact that Juan Cuadrado is coming (as confirmed by his former manager) has no bearing on Sky Sports sh*tty opinions on our team.

Nothing, really? I'm not sure how you have reached that opinion when Schurrle can't even get a start for us. 

Yes we're top, yes we're in a cup final and yes Jose is a serial winner, but I just can't understand why he keeps playing players that are obviously terrible? The stats tell us Willian is literally useless so why does he play? I think he has a blind spot in the past 18 months of playing him every single week. Whenever I see him in the line up I turn the TV off.

If we had someone else we'd be 10 points clear I'm.

Schürrle is good enough to get starts for us.. the fact he doesn't just blows my mind and doubtedly has as much to do with his performances than the business side of the game, maybe Jose just doesn't like him, which doesn't make sense since he played regularly last season.

 

But, Cuadrado is in my opinion a player with a higher ceiling than Schürrle, meanwhile Schürrle is an excellent player to bring off the bench I'm not sure if he was ever going to be our go-to starter, aswhile given the right circumstances I believe Cuadrado can become.

Agree completely, he didn't seem to complain the first time around and scored some important goals for us, in my opinion he's a good role player who's happy being one and I don't see the reason we should let him go.
