Eva Carneiro

I'm getting annoyed again. Why is looking good at 41 a surprise? We place too much value on younger women and not enough on age and aging. There was a lady on the train today, she wasn't young, she wasn't slim, but I looked at her a few times thinking how attractive she was, very short red hair, simple dress style, gorgeous.

she was your type and it doesn't have to do anything with age. Everyone is attracted to certain look.

The head of football medical association has now chipped into the debate backing Eva saying she had a duty to treat Hazard and refusal would have been in breach of her standards as a doctor.

I think Jose is going to get slammed over this.

Head of doctors backs doctor

Not sure where I stand on this whole situation. Think JM was wrong to publicily criticize. The medical team were simply doing there job. On the other hand, Evas post on FB would not have gone down well. I think this as much as anything has led to the 'demotion;.

What's he said about the guy?

There was a guy? Are you sure?

The duchess just said Jon looks really good for his age and she's going to miss watching his rear end running onto the pitch.

Yeah, Jose seems a little bit like a drama queen and blowing things out of proportion as if it was Champions League final match.

Yet no one is talking about our back line being caught out, or Courtois making a huge keeping blunder. Not to mention the fiasco which was the Swans first goal.

Just more head games from the Special One.

Beginning to think this whole episode is Mourinho taking the heat off the players for Sunday, and giving the press something to talk about other than our minimal recruitment.

I wouldn't be suprized if she was back on the bench bt the end of the month.

Our former doctor with an interesting viewpoint that suggests that Eva is partly to blame for the situation:

'She's a naive, celebrity doctor...’

I find it ironic that a man who lambasts a doctor for being a 'celebrity' does so by running to the media.

Clutching at straws I reckon with this whole taking the heat off players thing.

I think it's telling that Eva has lost her place on the bench and the other doctor,Jon hasn't. I can only put it down to Eva's comments on Facebook. It HAS to be that.

Both on the pitch but the only person that has been demoted is the one who publicly commented.

Facebook just causes so much damage.

No idea why this has been blown up so much, Wouldn't have thought we have a big game this weekend when this is front page news. Possibly as others have said an attempt to deflect attention of this weekends game from Jose?

It's probably due to her being a woman and always in the spotlight because she's attractive too. We all hear how the oppo fans speak and chant about her at games, so they're probably protecting her from embarrassment too. I think this definitely would have been different if this was a man involved in this fiasco.

It's a joke all these opposition fans seem to feel the need to voice their opinions on it.

I am willing to give the club the benefit of the doubt and assume that the incident during the game is not the sole reason for Eva and John Fearn's banishment. There has to be something else that was said or done to merit this response.

Otherwise, this decision is inexplicable. The physios enter the field at the behest of the referee and it's not Mourinho's job to tell them whether to do that or not. Those type of decisions should not be left to managers in any circumstances. Players' health and well-being simply must take precedence, regardless of the result of the match.

Incidentally, I perfectly understand Jose's point of view. His mind is focused on the game, he sees Eden just being exhausted and with all that's gone on before in the match and all that's going on around him and in his mind, his reaction isn't all that surprising. He wants to win and he sees the physios involvement as an impediment to that, so he lashes out. What I don't understand is why he would then go on to criticize his colleagues in front of the cameras - such an issue has to remain inside; even in the heat of the moment, he had to realise this.

A final note on the matter- f**k SkySports. The angle that they are going for is clearly sexism. Eva's name is on every breaking news, but, as they themselves write, John Fearn, the HEAD physio has also been suspended for City's game, yet his name is barely mentioned (a single sentence among the barrage of commentary). From the set of available information we have atm, you may disagree (as I do) with the decision, but to turn it into an issue of sexism is sensationalist, provocative and misleading and it reveals an agenda a true news organisation should not have.

Jose farts, the headlines follow

the only reason we and the media are talking about this  is cuz she has a pair of knockers and a cute posterior (apologies in advance for sexist commentary)

non-story with any other club and/ or a bloke medic

silly girl should of kept of Facebook afterwards, much ado and 1000s of words written about nothing
