It just seems like a total lack of professionalism from costa and conte imo. If conte doesn't want him because of his poor attitude fine, but at least keep things amicable to get him out the door. Instead of making it look like it's us who's getting rid costa, we should've been smart and let costa think we were letting him get his dream move back to Atlético, Then if Atlético don't pay up, we have a replacement in morata, and a fitter costa that would be more likely to either get his head down here, or better yet move to another interested club. Conte's harsh stance has only increased Costa's stubbornness to get his own way.

Costa is one of the least professional players ive seen at the club, the way that he has gone so public with his version of events has increased the club's stubbornness to not bend to his demands.

Now we are at an ugly deadlock. Either we accept a low ball offer from Atlético or we have see all this nonsense dragged through a courtroom as im pretty sure we won't be planning on paying his wages while he sunbaths in brazil.

It will interesting to see what happens if he is still a chelsea player when the window closes. Do the club still register him in the squad? If they don't then it will only back his legal case that he's been forced out and we will probably have to pay his wages in full, and also a loyalty bonus when he finally leaves.

Ugly ugly situation.

Fully agree with all this.

I have to say Conte's txt message is piss poor management. Telling a player his not in your plans you do face to face not by txt message.

Now we have had months of this bloody saga. Just get him out the club now at whatever price and get on with it.

yes, but the sale of costa is the board's responsibility, not conte's. conte should have thought carefully about the situation and left it to the board to deal with it. maybe things would have been difficult anyway, but at least we wouldn't have been pressured into selling for a lower fee than maybe we could have initially got from atletico. i refuse to believe atletico couldn't afford 50m for him, but now we need to get rid atletico can refuse a higher fee.

How is anything conte's fault in this case though?

he was simply informing costa that he is not needed. The true c**t that he is, he went to the media and blabbed it out. I have no idea all the time in contact with atm people who wanted him to do that so that they could get him at a cut price.

The main thing is Costa was knowing for this long time ago. It was simply a matter of time, before he start doing his s***. What would stop him, to to go out and say Chelsea or Conte doesn`t want me, i`m on the market, but want only Atletico reunion ? We are still f*****.

With or without the message, Costa was knowing for long time and was just waiting for the moment to f**** us. That is the truth.

Pundits and experts are saying Chelsea and Conte are to blame but to be fair I think we have always treated are players more than fair. Costa is solely the reason here. You can go politely and quietly or you can go like Costa. Burning bridges and acting like a child.

I hope we get top dollar for him as he is one of the best finishers in the game.

Conte messed up by texting him but the behaviour of Costa since and before the text thing has been awful.

Hes like a gun for hire, pay him enough and he will be there but when something else comes along his loyalties change in a flash. We are not going to win this one however so we should just take the hit and get another player in asap. Keeping him and playing him with the reserves only decreases his value and the bad vibes around the club.

It's a hard situation to deal with Costa full stop but once that txt message was sent the club was well and truly f**ked. If they get any sort of decent fee now then well played.

Costa's behaviour before and after the txt doesn't excuse the awful piece of management. This is Costa and he was always going to behave this way.

There's a lot better ways to tell someone there not needed than txt message. IMO that's the cowards way out and I would expect more from Conte. I think the players, board and everyone at the club would expect more and for it to be sorted out abit better. It's not like Conte didn't know how Costa would react, his a loose cannon.

We are now seeing the true Costa  the one that demands his own way and manipulates the situation to suit his own desires ,  After all Costa and his agent were informed face to face  in January that he was not in the future plans of the manager and he should look for a new club  but in true Costa fashion ,  he has decided which club he wants to join even though they have informed him that they are unable to buy until they  can sell and they are not allowed to at present and  Chelsea valuation of him is to much due to the fact that they will not pay 50 million for a player and then have to pay 100 thousand plus a week in wages for a player who will be  site seeing  for 6 months  ,  So

Costa decides to  release  part of a text message conversation which confirms that he is not required, but omits the part where he asks the manager to reconsider as he will conform to the managers requirements  after all Costa has previous of not returning to training on time and out of condition

very simple Costa can sit on a beach drive his  own price down shorten the time that any buyers will be required to pay wages  for  its a win win for Costa

we didnt see Matic acting like a prema donna  he traned on his own etc etc

its Chelsea costa iis hurting  so dont believe his bull sh*t

How hard is it exactly to sell a 28 year old 20 goal a season striker? The club have had a real stinker this season letting the squad get so thing, selling to a rival and unable to peacefully of load a player that should have clubs lining up for him

Did you miss the part about how he has turned down all other offers and only wants Atletico? And the c**ts want to take advantage of that to throw peanuts at us. I saw somewhere a few weeks back that they were "only willing to pay 20m". Such a fee is actually disrespectful to us tbqh. I'm 100% behind the club on this. Since he only wants Atletico, they need to pay our asking fee or f**k off. He'll rot in the reserves for 2 years if that's what he prefers.

Since he's making us miss out on a good fee for him, we'll make him miss out on the World Cup. No bloody way he gets a Spain call up if he hasn't played football for the entire year, especially if other Spanish strikers like Morata and co are firing on all cylinders.

Can't really say Costa is in the wrong here. Conte told him he doesn't want him so he's holding out to go back to Atletico. He's still human, why should he be made to go live in China or some other sh*t hole just because it gets Chelsea a few extra million. Fair play to him.

He has asked to leave Chelsea 3 different times and when we finally tell him to f**k off we're the bad guys? Oh please spare me.

You seem quite angry maybe a nap would do you some good? Of course the club will say that it's bad PR otherwise, he said he showed his Spain team mates so it may come out in the end.

Considering the fact that Costa himself some 4 months ago or so confirmed that he had wanted to leave Chelsea a few times in the past and he acknowledged that it soiled his relationship with Conte initially and now he's acting like he's been happy all along and never wanted to leave, I think I'd rather believe what Conte and Chelsea are saying. Costa has proven himself to not only be an unprofessional idiot but also a dirty liar. So really, I don't care what Costa says. Chances are, it's a bloody lie. His agent is Jorge Mendes after all and that guy isn't above using dirty tricks to get what his client wants.

Agreed, I would not believe Costa if his tongue was notarized. I think it also speaks volumes that his agent has been relatively quiet during this drama.

Pundits and "experts" will always find a way to put Chelsea in a bad light no matter the situation. Why should they matter? All you have to look at is Matic's performance in United's game against West Ham. He put in several of those in 14/15 and they said "oh he's great". Same thing last year and the same reaction. He does it in one game for United and he's being compared to Roy Keane and they're asking if he's the best DM in the world. Ridiculous. We've never been their favourite team. They're certainly not going to start now. Didn't they all predict Conte would be fired after the Arsenal game in September last year?

Chelsea Fc are a Fair minded club ....during my 50 plus years of attending matches at Stamford bridge and away ......I've seen a lot of comings and goings and falling outs..,,,but this situation between Costa and Chelsea Football Club is the Worst situation I've ever witnessed.......I can see that Diego Simeone ( prime example, making sure the newspapers saw them having a cosy dinner last December ) unsettling Costa & Athelitico Madrid FC (prime example, by taking the Piss by offering peanuts) have been manipulating Costa since he joined Chelsea ......Costa is a C*nt and Diego Simeone & Athletico Madrid are even bigger C*nts !

Conte knows full well that he shouldn't have sent that text message to Costa......But he is only human.,,obviously Costa had Wound up Conte to Boiling point ........However not withstanding That........ I am 1 million per cent absolutely fully supportive of CFC by insisting that despite his personal issues with our manager Conte........that the w**k*er  Costa has a contract with the Club "CFC" which overrides anything else and the w**k*er Costa has to return to London & start trying to pretend At least be a professional footballer........if he dosnt do that .......then CFC stop paying ..until he does return.....simples......CFC have to stand their ground on this,,,,even if it means losing out on a Transfer fee.....and I certainly would not expect CFC to ever deal with those Piss Takers of Ath Madrid ever again.
