August 18, 20178 yr Nothing like shouting off on social media and airing your dirty laundry for the world to see. The guy is so stupid and immature. No class at all.
August 18, 20178 yr Throughout all this he could have gotten What he wanted so easily simply by keeping his mouth shut coming back and being sold just like Matic and Nate. He is so badly advised he doesn't realise that his easy way out was to simply be a professional

Yea I just saw this came to post it, it's deffo not cobham and those are last seasons but psychologically it adds up to what he said, he still loves the fans and has a good relationship with his team mates if he had any disdain for the club he wouldn't wear the shorts it's not like he is hard up so he just wore his old shorts, or he might be doing it to be a smart arse
August 19, 20178 yr Come out and said he's OK with not going to Atletico if they don't push for him bc he doesn't want to play where he's not really wanted. Just get rid of this guy and thank him on the way out

August 19, 20178 yr According to the programme Radio Estadio on Spanish station Onda Cero, the Spanish club will pay 45 million euros with a potential 10 million in add ons. apparently the fee is agreed for costa to atletico https://en.as.com/en/2017/08/19/football/1503160585_004829.html Edited August 19, 20178 yr by DidierDrogbalala

I would be the same, Costa isn't the first footballer to come out with this over the years. How any footballer can say they are being treated like a criminal when they are earning hundreds of thousands of pounds a month for doing nothing is laughable and embarrassing. Didn't Cristiano Ronaldo say something like, he was being treated like a slave, when he was at Man Utd ?
August 19, 20178 yr Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of Diego Costa for €45million. [Onda Cero]
August 19, 20178 yr For the price it's good business for atletico. Unfortunately they know we are desperate to sell

August 19, 20178 yr The fact that n Conte and Costa are both too proud and stubborn to back down is just enraging to me. It's a massive screw you to the fans because it's a massive blow to the team not to have him playing as long as he's not been sold Edited August 19, 20178 yr by BleedChelseaBlue
August 20, 20178 yr 45 mil plus 10 mil in bonuses would be great. Slightly annoying because in the current climate he's worth £70-80 mil, but we need him gone asap with how his attitude has changed. Edited August 20, 20178 yr by Malcolm9
August 20, 20178 yr Yeh but not much takers. Lots of fans would like him at their club but most managers would actually stay clear. The fastest way to lose your job is by being undermined by a player especially a star man. Atletico were always the best cos of his relationship with them. He and simeone are dirty scoundrels so get along well. So I would say that amount I'd fair. Actually making a profit aft er r he helped deliver 2 titles, lots of negative press when he was on the pitch and now he's off it. Was it worth it I'd say yeah some may argue otherwise. Just think some players come to a club stay 3 years and move on. Without helping delivering titles. He's a man you can love and hate but I'd just say I'm glad saga may be near over.
August 20, 20178 yr I imagine that when we look back at this point the Guardian's description of Costa being a cult will be wholly accurate...

August 20, 20178 yr If the fee is agreed and Costa is apparently already in Madrid, then what is the tie up? The c**t so wanted to go back, right? He should not even be looking at the salary being offered. Should just sign it up.
August 20, 20178 yr Atletico Madrid are ready to pay £50m for Diego Costa but Chelsea are now holding out for £60m. (Mail on Sunday)
