Wouldn't break my heart if he wasn't for another week, I think remi needs some game time, then again when Costa diesbt get minutes tmrecrnt history tells us he gets rusty faster than a Ford cortina, ideally I'd like to see both of them on, remi on the right, William number 10 but for good or bad Jose is not that experimental with his squad selections this run...

Quite excited about this weekend. Get the maximum points in the next 8 days and we will be in touching distance of the title. I don't think we have any new injuries as the result of the international week, and a few players would had a good rest. Would love to see Costa/Remy start together, we all know how will Stoke play. I believe the unchanged 11 and formation really played into the hands of the opposition lately.

I agree not much of a plan b, we could do a lot more with our squad I feel just to rattle up and confuse some of the smaller teams that are determined to play every match against us like its the world cup final

Thank god this break is over. Hope we go out tomorrow and smash them, put even more pressure on City who have a very hard game against Pardew's side who are going very well at the moment. This could be one of the most important weekends in the title race

I'm predicting an upset for City.

I'm predicting an upset for City

They have the best away form in the league which is surprising and will help them but I just don't think they have the character at the moment to go and win at Selhurst Park when Palace are doing so well, can't see them winning at all either

Costa and Cech are doubts, Mikel is back in training but not yet match fit.

"Diego trained yesterday and today with the group and he is not injured. I don’t know if I start with him or not because after a muscular injury and then just two days with the group, I need to analyse the situation with him and make a decision.

"His injury was the same as before, hamstring, and he dedicated himself to that with no days off for him or the medical department, working morning and afternoon. We did all the tests and scans to confirm the situation two days ago and at the moment the muscle is fine, but football is more than that, you need confidence, you need to believe you are free to express yourself at the maximum intensity and that is our doubt at the moment. Let’s see in the next 24 hours.

"All the season he works on prevention to make the muscle stronger and at the same time elastic and flexible, recovering well with no big accumulation of fatigue. Myself and the medical department always believe that an operation is the last resort for every injury - so we try always to train and recover to compensate the little problems. I don’t believe we will ever go to the surgery option [in this case]."

"Mikel is fine and working all week with the group but he is very tired so he is not selected, but he is not injured.

"He is tired because he was injured for a month, he had surgery and he was not working with the group, so after four sessions with the group he needs time to adapt and needs time to be in condition."

Bojan and Odemwingie injured for Stoke, and Moses is obviously ineligible.
