At least it's proper Chelsea blue but I do have a certain fondness for the old Umbro kits. Think the last two we had were two of the best kits we ever had. Also been wearing the old Autoglass one recently to matches.

 

If I could have one away kit remade it would be the Yellow and Black striped one from 1993-94 which I think we ended up rushing out because we had to play someone like Wednesday and the other two kits clashed.

The darker, browner red, for a football say, I can cope with, but anything red red, A red L red I just can't bear, and no roses.

I think the shirt designers just use the colours that are available to them. Blue is the obvious one and the other options are there to be seen in the crest: red, yellow and white. They know it needs to be predominantly blue, so they play around with these white, yellow and red details. I'm not totally against the idea of using small red details, but it needs to be done well.

Still got that top and the home shirt from that season, which was reversible.

97/98 yellow kit is my favourite away, and my favourite home was the centenary shirt.

The red is a tribute to the Chelsea pensioners, i think it's a nice touch.

 

I wish we would ditch the black shirts though, i have never been a fan of them. We should just go with blue, white and yellow every season.

 Never believed the pensioner stuff whenever we've had red in our kit. I'd be all for it if it was the truth, and if so then why not incorporate the old pensioner badge into the new crest, there's plenty of room for it, as well as a gold star, and it'd be a permanent tribute, not just a load of guff whenever the club and Adidas need to shift some more nylon. Hate seeing red in our kit, but I could live with it if it were a genuine nod to the old chaps up the other end of Kings Road.

But red is in the club crest.

Whether it's a nod to the pensioners or simply because it is in the club crest there is a legitimate reason for having red on the kit.

Our home kit is usually available for preorder by now. I suspect they're holding back as they know everyone is going to want them GOLD BADGES!

 

Good excuse to buy a kit this year - new sponsor and gold badges.

Bayern Munich have extended their kit deal with Adidas until 2030 for a reported €900m (£645m). The contract had another five years to go but the German kit manufacturer moved early to secure a further 10 years with the newly crowned Bundesliga champions.

Promising I would have thought for Chelsea, given that we still have a long time to run on our own current deal with Adidas and deals such as Munich's and United's dwarfing what our deal brings in there might be a possibility of negotiating improved terms in the future. 

Seen a few rumours that the new kit with the Yokohama sponsor could be revealed today and worn in tomorrow's match.

Can't see them being in a huge rush to reveal the new kit as they are still bombarding me with emails trying to shift commemorative editions of last seasons kit. Plus, when is the official date of expiry of our Samsung deal?

That's another rumoured design that's been doing the rounds but I think someone just added some black piping to out kit from a couple of years ago on Photoshop. 

 

I still don't think the pictures we've seen of the leaked kits is what the final design will look like.

I got a (new) white Chelsea top (Yokohama n all) in Turkey a week ago, when they release the kits I'll put a data tagged photo up, see how accurate they are!!
