Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016

Don't think that was worth a sending off, the one the ref bottled eariler was more of a second yellow.

Second yellow is a sending off though, unless you are Graham Poll.

looks like city will be signing otameni from valencia for around 40 million euros. there's talk of mangala going on loan which would be a surprise, but needless to say city are showing intent this summer transfer window.

Likes us last season and like us they have started the season with a bang.

We should have seen it coming but we made the same school boy errors City made in 2012.

Our own fault.

They are completely ignoring FFP, we may as well do the same or we could end up getting left behind financially. If UEFA ain't going to do anything about it then i don't see why we are bothering to try and stay within the rules.

Not really.

They have already raised between £60m-£70m from player sales, reduced their wage bill, increased their revenue (partly down to the increase in TV money) and not to mention that their spending was reduced last year so they didn't get to spend all their transfer budget.

 Bit of an exaggeration? http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=1718&teamTabs=transfers

That site  is missing quite a few players and some of the figures reported there are different from what every other sources say.

They sold the following;

Boyata for £1-2m

Nastasic for £8m

Rekik for £3m-£4m

Sinclair for £3m

Negredo for £24m

Dennis Suarez for £1m-2m.

Jovetic for £12m

Dzeko for £15m

That's £67m in sales if we go with the lowest reported figures. And they also got two top earners in Lampard and Milner off their wage bill. Richards was on a decent amount as well.

Jovetic and Dzeko are not sold, so that's 27m£ that you can scratch of your list.

An accurate list can be found here:

It's the same deal as Negredo, a loan with a forced buy at the end of it. They are sold.

They are only forced to buy them if certain criteria are met. And also, even if they are forced to buy them, those sales will only be considered in next years numbers so they are not relevant this summer.

Where did you hear that? In Negredo's case Valencia were always going to buy him regardless (he had a terrible season by all accounts so I doubt it was performance or goals related), the only reason they didn't straight away was down to board/money issues. Similar thing thing with Inter at the moment who got Jovetic.

In the books yes but when planning out transfers they are taking into consideration now.

A lot of those players are listed in the previous season on which they made a 35 million loss. http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/team.sd?team_id=1718&teamTabs=transfers
