August 20, 201510 yr Author City have been really aggressive in their recruitment this summer, hopefully seeing them wrapping up deals will be a kick up the arse to us to push to get the Stones deal concluded if possible.
August 20, 201510 yr Call me crazy but I love it when there's loads of transfers like this to different clubs, it's exciting that it's gonna be competitive
August 20, 201510 yr I think there would have been a mini meltdown on here if City signed De Bruyne and Otamendi and United got Pedro. Getting Pedro has really been a much needed boost.

August 20, 201510 yr They are definitely the current favourites for several reasons but I am hoping Pedro gives us the boost we need to push them
August 20, 201510 yr Loads of exciting signings all over the prem - even the mid-bottom tables have done really well so far this summer. Cabaye - Palace, Inler - Leicester, Affelay - Stoke stand out for me. The premiership is becoming such a big brand especially with the new TV deals.

You have to agree with José that the amount of points needed to win EPL is going to keep going down because there's such a good level of competition between all teams really. Stoke and Palace really really have impressed me this transfer window, mammoth vision from both clubs.
August 20, 201510 yr Agreed, the fact that teams like Leicester can fend off the advances of teams like Schalke and Besiktas is quite exciting for the quality of the league. Hopefully it'll help English teams (well... us) to get a bit further in Europe. Someone wrote an article recently about how PSG's total lack of serious domestic competition is linked to their inability to make a serious run for the Champions League.
August 20, 201510 yr I think Mangala will be a good player for them, I think people were harsh on him last season it was his first season in the PL He already is a good player, he's suffering from the Demichelis syndrome in which a player has a few bad games at the start of the season and then can't shake off the reputation those poor performances. Took a while for people to realise that Demichelis is actually a good defender, it'll be the same with Mangala. On a related note, now that City have signed Otamendi they will have the backbone of a solid Porto squad from a few years ago. Mangala, Otamendi and Fernando. It'll be interesting to see if they all play together at some stage this season. Edited August 20, 201510 yr by Remodez

Other countries have started to catch up and English teams have been poor in Europe in recent seasons. Edited August 20, 201510 yr by Scott Harris
August 20, 201510 yr I'm not complaining, but what happened to the Fair Play rule? It doesn't look like any restriction in place judging by how everyone is spending or will spend in the next few days.
August 21, 201510 yr I'm not complaining, but what happened to the Fair Play rule? It doesn't look like any restriction in place judging by how everyone is spending or will spend in the next few days. Think they've recently reigned back on FFP, meaning City and PSG can spend as much as they want now.
August 21, 201510 yr Think they've recently reigned back on FFP, meaning City and PSG can spend as much as they want now. As opposed to only United, Real and Barca being able to spend as much as they want?
August 21, 201510 yr City will be paying over 50 million for De Bruyne and over 200k a week in wages Absolutely insane money!
August 21, 201510 yr City will be paying over 50 million for De Bruyne and over 200k a week in wages Absolutely insane money! No more FFP. They can afford to chuck insane money again.
August 21, 201510 yr De Bruyne will be going right into my fantasy football team if he signs. Goal machine.
August 21, 201510 yr I think we are waiting for city to spend there budget, and then we will swoop in for 'the eiffel tower' to steal mourinho's analogy. If we are serious about pogba, I think now is time. On a side note, I'm glad city are bringing de bruyne back to the prem. It's good for English football if we are attracting the like of otamendi and de bruyne, and even with clubs like Stoke bringing in shaqiri now, it's going to make the league more exciting. Real madrid have been pretty quite this window, is it because of the new spanish tv deal that will spread the revenueore evenly amongst the league? Is this going to lead to even more big names ending up in England rather than spain?
August 21, 201510 yr Author West Ham owner David Sullivan is such a prat, anyone seen the stuff he said about Charlie Austin? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/aug/20/charlie-austin-david-sullivan-west-ham-qpr Bang out of order for him to speak about a player of another club in such a way in my opinion.
August 21, 201510 yr what a "coincidence" how they relaxed FFP before PSG (the darlings of france) bought di maria. Edited August 21, 201510 yr by enigma

I hope Austin sues him, he`s a bell end.
