Lukaku shaves the top of the bar from a freekick

Was he trying to trap the ball?.....

:)

I can't detect any weakness in City so far - defence looks safe and calm, midfield and attack typically powerful and sharp. Early days but they could run away with it if they keep that form up.

Their next 6 games are Watford, Palace, West Ham, Tottenham, Newcastle and Bournemouth - then they go to Old Trafford. I can't see them dropping many points from those games.

Agreed, i'll take 2nd and a run at the CL tbh

Hazard, Cesc, and Oscar on form is crucial to making us look solid as well.

We've lost a lot of desire, hunger, and complacency has set in. Basically what happened to City last season and the 12/13 season.

Hate to say it, but City look good, very good indeed. 9 points from 3 games, 8-0 goal difference. If they stay injury-free, it will be very hard to catch them.

It's weird seeing City look more solid defensively than us. They also know how to pass the ball very well and create lots of chances.

Barring serious injuries, I think they will win the league.

too early to predict anything. even if we had drawn today it wouldn't have meant much. city have had an decent draw of fixtures early with no adversities. there are so many fixtures to come yet. after the next 10-15 games we'll have a better idea but not after 3 games. people get way ahead of themselves. i would be saying the same if it were us in their position.

City are clearly the best team at the moment. It seems as though many of their players are still hurting from last season and are therefore much hungrier this time round. Sterling has added much need pace on the left, whilst Mangala looks much more assured than last season. Kompany has also been faultless in these first 3 games and it seems like City may have developed greater defensive steel than they have ever really had in the last few years.

If they can keep Kompany, Aguero and Toure consistently fit then I'd have to say that they are favourites for the title. Theirs seems to be a settled, peaceful camp whereas there just seems to be too much uncertainty/disquiet surrounding us at this point. Nevetheless, provided we can keep the gap to somewhere around the 5-7 point mark over the next few months and sort ourselves out then I'm sure we will at the very least least run them close.
