Also don't know if its been mentioned already, but Balotelli has arrived in Milan for a medical for a season long loan from Liverpool.

At least most of the players in that team are used to having to defend for the majority of a game and exploit counter attacks, as opposed to midfielders and strikers from bigger clubs that are used to dominating possession, which never happens when England comes up against any half-decent international side.

There wouldn't be a lot of defending going on with a central midfield partnership of Shelvey and Barkley.

Oh yes tactically it isn't a realistic squad, was talking more in general terms of utilizing the in-form players from smaller teams over the likes of Wilshere. Shelvey in particular I think could be a good player for England.

from italy to manchester, from manchester to italy, from italy to liverpool, back to italy again. the guy just cannot decide where he wants to be; what a waste of a career.

Watch him burn whatever bridges he has left in Milan then end up in Russia next season. His 'career' will continue on a downward spiral for another 2 years until he is out of Football altogether.

Balotelli is a real talent, I wanted him to success at Liverpool, but I think football is not the most important thing for him. He said to Milan that he has changed, who knows maybe he will recover himself. Wish him the best of luck, I really want to see the real Balotelli, that Jose grew and gave him chance in Inter.

So Sunderland have somehow managed to throw away a two-goal lead against Exeter before half-time. 3-3 now, ridiculous.

We can take solace in the fact that there is clearly a defence in the Premier League which is currently worse than ours.

Palace probably going into extra time, so good news for us on Saturday. Their incredible fans have managed an attendance of just over 10k.

Good old Shrewsbury taking Palace to extra time.  And they went one nil up too.  My eldest was there - he'd have been thrilled at scoring first and holding on til nearly half time - same as a few years back at the Emirates.  He'll have enjoyed his evening.

This genius called it right when he was signed.

Balotelli is incredibly overrated imo. His crazy antics seem to draw attention away from the fact that hes actually a very average footballer.

I was dead set against us signing him and said he would be trouble at Liverpool, his negatives massively outweigh any positives.

Didn't expect him to be that useless. He scored some great goals at city.

Square peg in a round hole.

Rodgers was asking him to play in a lone striker role that he was completely unsuited to.

It's like how he completely mismanaged playing Lambert. He was expecting both to play in the style Suarez did for Liverpool instead of adapting his approach to provide the type of building/service to get the best out of them.

He quickly scapegoated Balotelli when results weren't going their way and it's no wonder his head went down.
