If City got themselves a competent manager they'd be dangerous.

If Ancelotti or Pep end up there they'll move up a level.

All the time Pellegrino is there they'll continue to lose more games then they should.

Amazing they've lost three games already with their squad.

Makes it all the more a shame we could not start the season better. Title is there for the taking for several sides.

My concern would be if klopp guides Liverpool too it. We narrowly avoid that horrible fate once before.

Don't worry about Liverpool, one swallow does not make a summer

Think they have done fairly well to be top with the injuries they keep getting. I dread to think where we would be if our key players kept getting injured.

We'd probably be slightly better off with the way they had been playing early in the season.

My word the premier league is poor this season...no outstanding team to be seen...sure it looks exciting to have so many teams so close up top, but it really reflects a lack of quality and demise of the top sides...as for Pellegrini, he truly is a sh*t coach to have such a poor record with this squad (same could be said for Mourinho this season mind you)

Happy to see City dropping points but not surprised, the so called lesser teams are far more capable of taking points off the contenders than ever now and 14 points behind what is still the best squad in the premiership with 72 to play for makes for an interesting season for us.

There's certainly a lot more surprises to come and I've no doubt all the teams above us will be on the end of some, lets just hope we've got most of ours out the way early.

This is such a typical City moment, losing 2 nil to a team that only scored 11 goals prior to this match.

Haha, you're probably right.

They've got plenty of quality in depth though, Bony although not Aguero quality for example is a more than decent striker.

I still don't think they have any excuses for having lost almost a third of their league games already.

Doesn't really matter if the spine of the team isn't there to lead them. That's how we got our success for years.

They certainly can be doing better but I think injuries are a valid reason for their form.

Has de Bruyne even been on the pitch absolute ghost second half

They rely on him a bit too much in my view. Understandable seeing as he's done really well but others like Sterling need to step up, KDB can't work magic all the time. Silva was awful as well.

I think they are the only team in the league that should be able to cope with the amount of injuries they have though. I personally don't think it is a good enough excuse. The players coming in for the injured players would get into almost every side in the league.

tbh, they've been without silva for a few weeks, aguero, toure, kompany and now it seems fernandinho. i think we'd be struggling too with that amount of injuries to key players. no matter what anyone says, even after eva left, we still have a very competent medical team who've kept the majority of our key/first team players fit.
