Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2015/2016

The trend shows that football is growing in popularity and financially every single year.

The bubble will burst one day but then again so will virtually everything else too eventually.

Looking at the figures and growth it's not going to implode anytime soon.

Sky probably just want to get some surveyed percentages to justify another decision, e.g. what other sports to cut. Football is their bread and butter and everyone knows it.

One does wonder just how ridiculous it will become before people just get sick of it all and turn off. I am enjoying rugby and UFC more these days. Football this season has been a chore. I have never watched less actually.

I believe one of the main reasons that there's a shortage of truly world class players compared to a few years ago, is that so many teenagers are millionaires before they have even played 100 matches.... the desire just aint there for a lot of them.

Cant blame them really..

Lukaku - another classic striker's goal tonight.

"He is not good enough to lead the line..".

Deulofeu is having a breakthrough season, wonder if Barca might buy him back

There's a few everton players i'd take for our squad right now. naismith, barkley, stones, deulofeu and lukaku. still can't believe lukaku is only 22 and good goal stats for consecutive seasons.

BBC call a 4-1 at home to Hull a "thrashing". In my younger days it would need to be at least a 6-0 scoreline to use the word thrashing.

I think almost the same way as you, the only difference is that i don't watch Rugby or UFC

I didn't even bother watching any league cup game last night, i just couldn't be bothered. There just isn't enough quality football being played or enough quality footballers about anymore. The best footballers right now are all playing for the same team. Even though i really dislike them, Barcelona are the only team around right now that are playing world class football.

I agree and it's not just cause of how poor we have been the league is sh*te. It's dreadful, more competitive aye but less quality. It's been on the decline since the later 2000s anyway.

I actually don’t think the quality has gone down in the league, quite the opposite actually.

Teams like Everton have players who are established international players at a high level like Mirales, Lukaku, Baines while also having some of the best young talent in Britain in Barkley and Stones.

Swansea and Stoke are attracting players who before we’d laugh at the prospects of them joinging these sides like Shaquiri and Bojan. All this makes things more competitive and has upped the quality of the teams in the league also.

We still have a host of the best players in Europe in Hazard, Augero, De Bruyne, Sanchez, Silva and so on.

Oh God if Sky dropped the Footy and it was left to BT sport to pick up the baton, it doesn't bare thinking about....

Michael Owen week in week out noooooooo......

Papers reporting Pogba in Manchester eating out with his friends, saying he's always loved Manchester. So... Man City next year?

Klopp doimg some job..while we plod about mustering one shot on goal per game. Awesome !

Spot on; crazy thing is the one shot per game is not an isolated event, can think of a few games.

It is sad.

Would absolutely love my team to play like that.

Sorry if this offends anyone.

I'm sure you thought the same thing a couple of seasons ago.............they still didn't win anything.
