Fantastic signing by the club! Begovic is one of the best back-up goalkeepers you can have in the competition and I'm glad that we've adequately replaced Cech!

 

Wonderful signing and even in the event that Courtois misses matches due to injuries, suspensions or resting periods then Begovic should fill his void quite well and be a reliable goalkeeper for us!

unfair to criticise him for that performance, especially as the defence was poor in preventing the goals. i was more shocked that courtois hasn't learned from last season that he needs to get rid of the ball asap when he has the chance, not dribble with the ball like he's messi when the strikers are closing him down. 

He had a very good game against Swansea. His biggest test is coming against City on Sunday.

Decision to invest in such a good back up keeper already seems vindicated.

It was a good penalty- save able but good nonetheless. Thought his shot stopping looked top notch yesterday- something Tibo and Cech haven't been as reassuring with in the last few years

Well Begovic didn't put a foot wrong and will start the next game. If he keeps a clean sheet at City then he has to keep his place until he slips up. Excellent position to be in having two keepers of this stature after losing a legend to Arsenal.

I really thought he was gonna save that peno. We're one game in and already recouping value from that transfer. He probably saved us a point already

I'm so happy we have moved on from the days of Hilario or Turnbull as backups. I remember that match Hilario got the clean sheet against liverppol, our defence was so good that day they didn't get any decent shots on goal. I believe every player should be challenged to keep his spot in the team, it make no sense to give the first choice GK a free ride.

I liked Hilarious, decent keeper to be fair, came on once as a sub and his first task was to stop a penalty and he did just that if I remember correctly.

I have to agree, he's been immense. We will need him this season if we don't get the back four back stabilised soon.
