I was browsing a couple forums and the "talkchelsea" forums is one of the most negative ones i have seen. the levels of entitlement on there from some of the members is astounding, and the views are depressing to say the least. they seem to write off any young player we have and think we deserve, and should be signing the likes of griezmann and pogba to take us to the next level, ridiculous!

 

i am not a member of any other forum, but if the opinions of those on that forum are similar to other chelsea fans then i feel embarrassed for them. i know most of them on there are foreign fans, so maybe this is why they have a sense of entitlement, but their views are just overly negative. 

 

anyone have experiences of this forum? are you a member of other chelsea forums, and what is your thoughts on those compared to this forum? 

I signed up for Talk Chelsea a while ago cause I thought what's better than having one place than to talk about Chelsea? Having two. Boy I was wrong I found that site boring to be a part of tbh, no meaningful discussions like here and it's like everyone there isn't real where as people here seem real. Don't know if that makes sense.

Yep, I tossed up between here and there and after lurking for a little while this place is definitely so much better.

One of the reasons I don't visit any other CFC fan sites.

it's not good. i actually feel depressed after visiting that place and that's just viewing their opinions. you get the odd positive and logical response, but the majority are pessimistic about next season. i take a look at the transfer forum to see if anyone has posted a new rumour, but apart from that i have decided to stay away from the other areas of the forum as it's not a place i can stay.

It's not Chelsea. It's increasingly becoming the norm amongst other premier league teams as well. They all want the shiniest new toy and are never satisfied.

Cfcnet is not bad.

I think majority of these fans who advocate immediate gratification with big signings are the ones who will happily put on a City shirt if we went a couple of seasons without a trophy and slipped out of the champions league.

 

True fans will always support the long term view and believe in grass root development and bringing through players from the youth system. Seeing a player flourish who is a product of your own academy provides a far greater sense of accomplishment than bringing in a big name and watching them perform.

We get attacked from others, no need to attack our own...! Although I never venture away from TSE so I have no idea how bad they are, if at all.

When was the last time an academy player of ours has made a long term impact at senior level ?

Personally I would love to see youngsters coming through, its not happening though, just a bit part here and there.

Buying established players has worked well for us, I'm not complaining.

I'm the same, i couldn't imagine going anywhere else to talk about Chelsea. Before i was on here i was on a Facebook page but it was pretty boring.

There are other Chelsea forums? 

I actually dont have a problem with cfcnet, none whatsoever. On all the sites I've visited you will get opinions you dont agree with,and some informed opinions that are very insightful.

On talk Chelsea there are people still furious with Mou for selling KDB. That's a thread to avoid. 

Someone (blue Daze?) had posted on here that TC is Chelsea's version of RAWK and I have to agree.  Makes it difficult to laugh at the rawk morons when we have our own bunch of cringe worthy fans.

They have got a lot of great posters over at Cfcnet  though. I like that forum.

I grew up in the Shed end, non cyber version, and can't think of anywhere better to spend my browsing time than the Shed End in the interweb era.

i was a long term cfcnet user - place used to be awesome

 

but a few key people who made the forum fun stopped logging on and the place got overrun with trolls. matchday threads on cfcnet are absolute CANCER

 

moderators brought in an approval rule for posting about 3 years ago and basically killed the entire forum. by the time they figured out what had happened, virtually everyone had migrated here...i resisted for a while but gave up fighting it about a year ago lol

 

talkchelsea is full of w**kers, dont even take them seriously or consider them a serious chelsea fansite

This place is definitely the best of the bunch, there's also WAGNH but that's really a blog.
