Not sure if the Falcao starts here are mainly sarcasm but I would be in favour of giving him a chance. No point in him being here if he cannot get starts against the West Broms of this world when Diego is not fully fit.

This week is a great chance for us to gain some lost ground. City play Everton, arsenal play Liverpool and United play Newcastle.

I wouldn't call it a great chance, we need City and United to lose to gain any kind of ground. I can quite easily see both of them winning this weekend.

Everton are a tough opponent, and Newcastle under Mclaren look good.

No mate I wasn't, I want Costa and Cesc to be dropped until they are looking fit again, a week and a half working on fitness, and get them back for the Palace game.

I'm hoping for dis line up Azpi (RB) Ivanovic(CB) Terry (CB) Rahman(LB) Matic Fabregas Moses Willian Hazard Costa.

If you said this instead of dis and put Zouma in for Ivan, I'd agree with that, moses deserves a shot, he offers something different, Garry isn't good enough and Ivan deserves some reprimanding not a shift for 2 unacceptable performances

I think a lot of us want to see Zouma at the back, Baba on the left to gauge his ability and Dave back on the right. I think it may have been slightly bad timing to pick Ivanovic as VC, unless that's part of the reason for the position. Maybe José wants to build confidence or maybe Ivan is struggling under the expectation of the captain band?

I think his legs have gone and he is too comfortable at having no competition for his position, when we pulled off Garry last year and went with Zouma, he came back a new player

He did...not saying much though. He's not the world class CB some people make him out to be, I think the defensive unit as a whole has massively complimented Cahill on occasion over the seasons.

Not sure who said he is but they are head in the clouds,  he is an average CB that under the tutorage and instruction of JT, sitting deep with a good DM in front of him has done very well for himself in racking up winners medals, and his faults gone under the radar, he has become worse not better, I just can't see hm lasting

              Courtois

Azpi - Zouma - Terry - Baba

       Matic - Fabregas

 Willian - Oscar - Hazard

               Costa

Oscar is injured as far as i'm aware, so i'd move Willian in to the #10 position and give one of Moses or Traore a shot, they deserve it given that every option we have on the right wing except Willian is complete w**k

I don't think there's a chance we'll see a back four of Azpi, Zouma, Terry and Baba although that's what it should be after the last couple of games.

Just can't see us making that many changes to the back four.

A lot of variations of what line-up we should pick but one thing that is nearly unanimous is Ivanovic being dropped. Absolutely love the bloke but he has been ripped to shreds so far this season, definitely the weak link. That's not to say a fair few of the other players haven't been poor though.

I'm getting really anxious for this game, this whole negative talk about the club after only 2 games is really getting annoying.  I don't expect major changes, but I do expect a different setup that allows more protection in midfield,  and a deeper line of defence.

Regardless of the the line up, I do not expect any drastic changes, we should win this and get this back on track. It would be nice to see Baba slotted in and Dave finally playing on his natural side. RLC should get a start as well, this could be the perfect level of opposition to give him a chance for a solid performance and give him some confidence. It isn't bloodly likely though.

Who is this Mikel troll?

Ivan has to be dropped for this game especially if Berahino is playing. He gave him nightmares last year and the first two games indicated that Ivan is going to be skinned again if put against a pacy winger with good control. My line-up would probably something among these lines (and this is considering that Moses and Oscar are both out) :

            Begovic

Azpi Zouma Terry Baba

            RLC Matic

Willian   Fabregas  Hazard

               Costa

Hopefully will see more energy from the team and more urgency on the ball.

Why Begovic?

Gary Cahill is definitely a better than average centre back, that is being hugely unfair to him. I think he is a very good centre back who is simply short of being at the absolute top level.

Problems are on multiple levels, (out of pace Cesc and Matic, out of touch Costa and an entirely sluggish defence) therefore the solution cannot be a one stroke fix. We need to improve on multiple levels which makes this a huge week for Jose. Some changes are required to freshen things up, not least in the defence. Hopefully, Baba has a good week of training and proves that he's ready to slot right in (highly unlikely). Zouma has to start just to inject some pace and steel in the centre of defence. Going forward we need fresh legs, which could be provided by Moses (if fit) or Traore. As already mentioned, a must win game so early in the season is never a good place to be but that's what it is.

I'd go with:

Azpi Zouma JT Baba

Cesc Matic

Moses Willian Hazard

Costa

You could say the same about JT.

I still remember when Cahill was mopping up after JT mistakes.
